CAMEO B&B ROME — Hotel in Rome

We could not fault this lovely bed & breakfast in the centre of gorgeous Rome. Great location, just outside the Vatican walls and 7 mins walk to the Metro. A really nice area, with lots of cafes, up-market shops and restaurants. (Our particular favourite was a little bistro called Makasar). Cameo is an oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of the city; immaculate, comfortable and relaxing. Beautifully decorated with efficient shower and nice little touches, such as a kettle and a fridge/minibar. Such sensitive hospitality from Marco, who welcomed us and made us feel at home, yet was also discreet and allowed us our privacy. Well presented breakfast room with a variety of foods on offer, including lovely organic eggs and fresh coffee. The stay at Cameo was one of my best. I felt like I lived there and that was the experience I was hoping for, to be one of the natives of Roma! Marco, the host, was such an amazing person who catered to so many of my needs, even as some were very unexpected and abrupt. My train to Rome was delayed a very long time thus changing my arrival time to early in the morning at 6:30am! Marco was up and ready with no complaints and was so accommodating. One of the nights, he even left me a cake in my fridge. I was so touched by his tender kindness and hospitality. And my room and amenities were just as great. This place is soooo close to the square, I actually went to the Vatican everyday because it was so near me. I truly enjoyed my trip and stay in Rome and will definitely come...

The two bedrooms are both lovely, one modern in grey tones (Modern) and the other romantic with flower wall paper and chandeliers (Classic). Both with bathrooms ensuite.

The breakfast in the morning is more than abundant and tasty! From fruit, bread, eggs, sweets and local delicacies. A great way to start the day.

The B&B next to the Vatican (and Vatican museum) and the Sint Peter basilic makes it a perfect location. But the love and care for everything you do is priceless! Thank you so much!...
