Our Vatican tour should have been unforgettable for the right reasons—but it wasn’t.

From the start, our guide was disorganized, leaving without a recognizable flag and losing half the group before we even entered. We waited 90 minutes to get in (not her fault), but she refused to share any information in the meantime, unlike other guides around us.

We had confirmed tickets for the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel, but once inside, she denied ever saying so—costing us €90. When we questioned her, she rudely responded: “Then just leave!” Her English was difficult to understand, and at one point, she rushed off, telling us to “keep up” and refusing to wait, despite someone in our group having a knee issue.

At the Dome, her instructions were unclear, leading to group-wide confusion. When some of us waited downstairs, she blamed us for missing radios—something beyond our control. Frustrated, everyone left early, returning their earpieces. That alone says enough.

Alishba was our tour guide for this wonderful tour of St Peter’s Basilica. This was a very memorable and informative experience. Alishba is very passionate and knowledgeable. We had a a smaller group of about 8 people. One of the couples in our tour kept wandering off and a husband of another couple kept speaking randomly out of turn. Alishba was very good at managing these individuals whilst keeping the tour interesting and moving forward. Not to mention this was during the Jubilee and only one day after the passing of Pope Francis, therefore it was extremely busy! Definitely recommend Alishba for anyone wishing to tour the largest Catholic Church...

I made a fantastic tour through the Vatican.basilica, underground and couple. Everything was extremely well organized. I got a personal phone call the day before. I had a fantastic guide, her name is Karen, She entertains, knows everything has tips for Rome And she is a philosopher who tells her personal thoughts too. I think this is one of the best tours ever. Just make sure that you have enough time. The owner of the company even waited for me after 5 o’clock Because I left my backpack there at the office and I’m very glad about that Because if you have to carry it up to 550 steps, it can get heavy.
