Horrific experience. Stuff of nightmares. When you come to Rome, you expect great tasting food and good wine, but instead, we were served dog food and and glasses of white vinegar. Things started off relatively ok. The first red flag was ordering two glasses of wine with the waiter not pouring it in front of us. Then came the starter, which was relatively ok, but then again it was a cheese board, so what could go wrong? A LOT. Within 5 minutes of us trying to enjoy the starter, with only about half of it eaten, a different waiter came out with our mains. He gave us an extremely dirty look, as if to say hurry up. They apparently decided that we were ready to eat our mains, without us finishing our starters. We didn’t want to cause a fuss so we immediately started to eat our mains and leave the cheeseboard stater for after. Upon first look of our pasta mains, it didn’t look too bad. Upon taking our first bite however, we quickly realised what a dire mistake we made coming here. My fettuccine was rock hard, greasy, no taste, and looked liked something a hungover college student made after a heavy night on the drinks. My boyfriend’s gnocchi was also a disgrace; bland, stodgy, and inedible. The waiter came back to ask if the food was ok, and we were honest and said no (which is something we’d never usually do), however we felt obligated as the food was so bad and so expensive. He proceeded to tell us that “that’s just how we do it” and that “that is the Italian way”. We were flabbergasted, and told him that we got a similar meal next door (which was very good). We left without finishing our mains, and also the started which was rudely interrupted. The final straw was my boyfriend entering the establishment to pay the bill and noticing that they sell cigarettes, lighters, and condoms behind the counter. We quickly left, bellies empty and yearning for some nice Italian food, which came quickly be found anywhere else. Please do not come here. It gives money-laundering restaurant vibes. So expensive and clearly a scam!

Unfortunately I've had to give a not so good review. I am a woman who has entered the resturante alone, and the waiter took this as an opportunity to continuously interact with me. Constantly trying to get my attention by tipping my shoulder, making silly noises and asking me to smile because I'm a pretty lady on holidays. I found this really intrusive and I would have stayed past my meal but I felt so uncomfortable even though I had hinted I wasn't interested in the interaction. He got very close and at one point wrote Roma on my table, then grabbed my hand to move my finger the opposite way across the word and said it means "Amor". He got way too close. I promptly asked for the bill. Maybe its a good place for a group, but not for solo travellers. The lasagna was okay. Cocktail menu said haply hour- not sure what that meant because there wasn't an offer. Sorry to post this but it really started my holiday off feeling uncomfortable about entering other resturantes as a woman.

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We ordered a bottle of wine for €17 along with some antipasti and pasta. We were told that the wine was not available. Another man (not the original waiter) came to the table and he recommended another wine. He said it was medium priced and did we trust him. We assumed it was a similar priced wine and said OK! It was nice wine and we didn't think anything of it until the bill arrived. €98 for the wine! We immediately queried the bill and when we tried to explain, the police were called. We were questioned by the police which was very embarrassing and ruined our first night in Rome. Eventually we agreed to pay €100 for the bill which was still €43 for the wine. We reckon this was a scam and would really not recommend this restaurant.

If I could give a 0 star, I would. Never have I experienced such ignorant behaviour at a restaurant. We went as a family for breakfast on our last day. I ordered an omelette...on the menu it purely said it was just an omelette...which is what I expected, some eggs. I asked if it came with toast and the waitress said yes. The waitress comes back with an omelette and a side of what I can only describe as a slice of baguette. I noticed there was pink bits in my omelette and confronted the waitress. I told her clearly I didn't eat ham and pointed to my head covering. I let it slide as clearly she was clueless. I explained I didn't eat ham or non-halal foods and that the menu said absolutely nothing about ham being included. She points to the picture and says: look, you can see in the picture that there's pink stuff in the omlette. She further tries to justify herself by telling me there's also no toast in the pic but it's on my plate and that there's salad in the picture but NOT on my plate. If your head isn't spinning by the last 2 sentences then well done to you because I was mind boggled! I told her firmly that the menu was very simple. You either have an omelette with coffee or you have a croissant with drink and coffee. Nowhere does it say what kind of omlette it is, so any person would just expect some eggs. The waitress comes back a 2nd time to argue her case and this time another customer shouts out in my defense telling her I was right, it doesn't say on the menu and they should make it clear. I told her and another waiter to just give me a croissant because I just needed to eat something and be on my way. Moments and moments later, the waitress comes with a croissant, clearly frustrated.

This was the worst service I have ever received. I urge people to never go there. Staff are rude and menu is just silly with no options for vegetarians/vegans! ...

Where to start...We were seated by an older gentlemen who I do not know if he was the owner or not. We ordered a bottle of wine, a bottle of water, and three entrées. Everything was going fine, our food came and they brought my husband the wrong dish but he just went ahead and ate it because we didn't want to make a fuss. The food was great and once finished we were still working on our wine but told the gentleman who seated us and waited on us to just bring the check whenever he had a free chance. A few minutes later he bring the check and a little wooden box. My husband hand him his credit card to pay. The guy tell us to put a tip in the wooden box, we said we were still eating and drinking and would before we leave. We know it is not customary to tip in Italy but we typically still do. So he runs our card and hands up our receipt and walks away leaving the box. So we get to looking at the bill, the bottle of wine we ordered was 22 euro but he charged 37 euro, for a 1/2 liter of water (yes a half liter is what he brought us when every other restaurant brings a liter) he charged 14 euro for the 1/2 liter. We should have checked before we gave him our card but it was already done. So we were just going to finish our wine and forget it. While we are still drinking our wine he comes and stands over us, opens the tip box, looks at us and yells tip, and slams the box back on the table. So now after his attitude and over charging us almost 25 euro we decide we are no longer leaving a tip so when we finish and get up to leave, he come running after us yelling "McDonalds is around the block." So even though the food was great, I would definitely steer clear of this restaurant. They take advantage of tourist. Luckily my husband has lived in Rome and...
