I booked with my girlfriend 4 nights in this hotel and on the reservation I clearly stated I was going to arrive between 11-12pm. The same day my flight got delayed and I got in the b&b at 12.30; when I called the mobile number that was supposed to get me in contact with the person to let me in, in a very rude and impolite way I was told the the person left at 12 and I was told to find myself an other accomodation for the night as they were not responsible for my delay. Fair enough I was 30 minutes late but no one even bother to call me to check if I was still arriving. Lucky enough, I met another person working in the b&b that came back for another reason and he offered me another back up in a different location for the night 5 minutes away from the original location. The room was really big, clean and tidy but on the other side the bed cover were stinking of muld and the room was really noisy as it was just on top of a big junction; all night car honking and police or ambulance sirens going on. Definitely not a place to rest or have a good sleep. For the rest, I can say the rest of the stuff we met were really kind and helpful but the first contact we had was so negative it put a bad impression on the whole stay in this accommodation. Definitely won't be back and will not...
Read moreWe got there and somehow we couldn't stay in the Home 16 Relais. Andrea (who was very friendly) gave us some excuse that there was water in the apartment (our theory is overbooked) So we had to haul our bags to another location and as any traveler knows changing the deal is just not cool. Our room smelled and it was still being remodeled so in order to flush the toilet we had to reach inside the wall and pull the plastic handle. Andrea assured us that he was a "honest " businessman but when we got all checked in he disappeared and was replaced by some lackluster dude that was hard to communicate with (we speak English and Spanish). No breakfast in the room as advertised on their website so we went to a bar around the corner with our voucher (nice people) for coffee and a croissant. Location was good right next to a metro, but the change in the room was not good. Oh and the beds were pretty...
Read moreOverall I would recommend this hotel. I would recommend getting a taxi from the airport as it would be hard to find. We flew from caiampino airport and its a fixed fee of 30 euros. Initially when we got there we couldn't figure out how to get into the hotel as there was no staff waiting for us. We rang the number on the board and someone came to us in 2 minutes. The staff member was based in a different hotel. When when he arrived he was very friendly he told us where he was based which is just down the road. The rooms were very clean. We were out most of the time so was ideal for what we needed. For those who like walking this is a great location. About 30 minutes to the collaseum and 50 minutes to the Trevi fountain. Alternatively there is a metro which takes 5 minutes to walk to. Simple to use 1 euro 50 for a single fair and 6 euros for an all day ticket. Really pleased...
