At check-out we had paid city tax of 8 EUR/person/night. Our mistake was that we did not ask for a receipt. Later we found out that we had paid twice the price. The correct rate is 4 EUR/person/night. I contacted the accommodation from home and asked for a refund. They sent me a fake bill for 4 EUR/person/night and didn´t refund my money. The receptionist robbed us with a smile!!! His behavior was absolutely unprofessional and thieving. The air conditioning didn't work our whole stay - 4 days. If you like a salty breakfast, you have no choise. Still the same food, 2 salamis and 1 cheese. No vegetables. Still the same sweet buns. On the fourth day we had no appetite for breakfast. Unfortunately, this experience spoiled the whole impression of our visit to Rome. During my travels I have always written positive reviews of the accommodation, this is the first time I have been totally dissatisfied.
The only thing I can rate positively is the cleanliness of the accommodation and the daily cleaning and...
Read moreHotel was pretty easy to get to. Very clean. Room size was excellent for 3 people to share. Elevator is a huge plus! My wife and I and a friend were only staying 1 night. Check in process was smooth. Cosmo was absolutely fabulous. So very friendly and helpful. Helped us with suggestions for food and assisted with best ways to get around town for the few things we wanted to do. The rest of our party was staying for 3 nights, checking out for 2 nights and coming back to stay 1 more night before heading back home. Cosmo gave them suggestions for how to get to the things they wanted to see. Your hotel was very accommodating as they were permitted to leave their luggage stored for the 2 days they left because they were checking back in again on Thursday. Breakfast was very good with a wide variety of food choices. The only bad thing was the peaches in syrup, as they were swamped with fruit flies. Other than that, everything else available for breakfast was great! Coffee machine...
Read moreThis a perfectly reasonable hotel a convenient, though grim, 10 minute walk from the train station. The area is not prepossessing but it has bars and restaurants among the launderettes and tattoo parlours. The main tourist attractions are some way off but the metro is the same grim 10 minute walk away in reverse and there is a rickety tram goes by to I don't know where. The room is clean with a large ensuite with a frustratingly small shower enclosure. The bed was hard and uncomfortable and the Italians don't do in room coffee making facilities. I find that hard to forgive. I also discovered the walls are quite thin when the lady next door started having a heart attack. At least that's what it sounded like 🤗 Breakfast is a sugar rush of pastries unless you are one of those people who eat ham and cheese when you get up. But the...
