Primo San Lorenzo — Local services in Rome

A real gem in San Lorenzo, well designed and with a relaxed and warm vibe.

We came here thanks to a promotion they have on TheFork, which offers 50% off food at certain days/hours.

We had the burger which was very good compared to others we had in Rome, and it came with fried potatoes.

It was a bit disappointing to get only 2 small ketchup and mayo sauces with it (like the ones you get at McDonald's). I would have expected a place like this to bring normal-sized bottles.

We didn't ask for more but I'm sure they would have brought some if we would asked, as the service it very good - attentive and friendly.

For example, I didn't really like the beer that the bartender suggested and brought me, so she immediately replaced it with a other one.

Other than that, my suggestion for sitting at the bar:

Elisa is from Veneto and has been knowing Rome for almost 20 years before taking this place from the previous manager. This Gastropub opened in June from the refurbishing of Container. They offer a good quality menu for discerning enthusiasts of the sophisticated pub menus. The idea is a bit from the US elevated American Bars but with a fully Italian gourmet selection influenced by the local recipes. Prices are absolutely affordable and in line with the San Lorenzo crowd. Beautiful furniture and a relaxed atmosphere are additional benefits. Last star is missing for the drinks. Esperienza deludente. Avevamo concordato di avere l’esclusività del locale per una festa, ma non è stata rispettata. Senza consultarci, hanno invitato una band dal livello discutibile, che ha rovinato l’atmosfera. Pessima organizzazione e totale mancanza di rispetto per gli accordi presi. Non consiglio questo posto per eventi privati.

Gentile proprietario,

la sua risposta è non solo scortese, ma anche priva di fondamento. Come si evince chiaramente dalla foto della vostra agenda, che allego, l’esclusività del locale era stata garantita. Trovo assurdo che ora lei neghi questa promessa, nonostante sia stata comunicata in modo inequivocabile.

Inoltre, eravamo circa 190 persone, ognuna delle quali ha pagato 13 euro. Questo equivale a un totale di 2.470 euro, una cifra tutt’altro che “folle” per ottenere l’esclusività di un locale. Se non era disposto a rispettare quanto promesso, sarebbe stato corretto comunicarlo in anticipo.

Quanto alla band, ci tengo a chiarire che il mio commento non era un giudizio sul valore artistico, ma sulla totale mancanza di coerenza con la serata organizzata. La band non c’entrava nulla con l’atmosfera dell’evento e ci avete comunicato la sua presenza solo pochi giorni prima, lasciandoci senza possibilità di organizzarci diversamente. Questo ha compromesso ulteriormente la riuscita della serata e ha portato diverse persone a non venire.

Infine, il tono aggressivo e poco professionale della sua risposta non fa che confermare la pessima gestione già riscontrata. Mi auguro che queste critiche siano utili per migliorare il servizio...
