Hotelier 51 — Hotel in Rome

Positives: the room was very clean and it is in a great location which is very quiet. There is also a lift which is very welcome when there are stairs!

Negatives: the staff are rude, we made a booking on booking.com and paid the full amount only to be communicated with via WhatsApp on the day 4hrs before checkin with a load of voice notes, calls and texts to say we hadn’t paid. We were then sent a link on WhatsApp to pay via a third party. This was very stressful. If you don’t want booking.com to take a cut don’t list on them or explain this to customers so it doesn’t feel like a scam which is stressful...

DO NOT RESERVE HERE, I don't recommend it at all. The day before the arrival, we had a problem with the payment because the card was canceled. We modify it and add a new card. WE RECEIVE MESSAGE WITH CONFIRMATION CODE, all this happens the day before the check-in. On the day of entry, we showed up at the hotel and they told us that an hour before they had CANCELED OUR RESERVATION AND THAT OUR ROOM HAD BEEN RESERVED BY ANOTHER PERSON. Lo primero que pido a todo aquel que lea las reseñas es que no se crea para nada todas las reseñas negativas, sobre todo aquellas que tachan al hotel de timadores y estafadores. Cuando yo leí esas reseñas posteriormente de haber hecho la reserva me quedé blanco y me quería morir pensando que me iban a estafar y que ese dinero ya lo tenía perdido, y que al llegar a Roma me iba a quedar en la calle, todo por culpa de haberme creído esas reseñas. Os juro por lo que queráis que todas esas reseñas están muy lejos de la realidad, y si escribo la reseña no es solo porque haya estado estupendamente en el hospedaje sino para que a nadie más le pase como a mí y le de el susto de muerte que me pudo dar. La habitación era estupenda, limpísima, el servicio estupendo y muy atento, prestándose a toda necesidad que me fuera necesaria, y además en una zona privilegiada de la ciudad. En resumen, fue una estancia estupenda sin ningún problema en el momento del pago, lo único que te mandan el enlace para pagar por whatsapp para ahorrarse los impuestos abusivos de booking, lo cual también encuentro bien y lógico, así que no sufráis si reserváis porque ni os van a estafar y vuestra estancia será...
