don't know why this hostel has so many good reviews... the location is not safe, nor is it near to any of the attractions (it is well connected to transportation and around 30 minutes walking to some attractions )and there were even what looked like human feces in the hostel's doorstep when i arrived, not a nice neighbourhood at all. the rooms' walls are all very thin and your hear everything that goes on the other side of it which makes it very hard to sleep. the shower only had hot water for one of the three nights that I stayed there which was also not nice at all. although it looks relatively clean, i got bed bugs from the first night there and the owner was not helpful at all when i told her that. the boy who works at the recepcion is very nice and available but at night i found him surprisingly disturbing, first by putting on super loud music for himself after literally everyone else had already gone to sleep; second for busting into our room (apparently very drunk) at 6am and throwing himself half-naked-half-dressed-half-wrapped in a duvet on the floor of the room and making noise and kicking the beds of the people who were actually guests there; thirdly by an hour later climbing into a girl's bed after she left the room and sleeping in her duvet and sheets and pillows with all her stuff still there. also the breakfast is just a big box of croissants that they buy probably once in a while and leave it there untill it's too old. they didnt buy fresh ones the whole time i was there and there was also no coffee. i give it 2 stars for the price and closeness to the station. the employees were nice apart from these situations and cleanness was relatively ok but there are other hostels at the same price range a lot more...
Read moreI need to do my review in 2 parts: the first 4 nights and the last night. So my brother and I booked into a 5 bed mixed dorm room for 5 nights. For the first four nights, the hostel was everything you could want in a hostel. Warm, friendly, clean, comfortable, great location, free croissants and coffee :)||||The last night - beyond words. On the second last night I had been asked if we would move into a private double room, because we were a couple and the hostel was overbooked. I said no, sorry, we’re actually brother and sister and we have booked and paid for five nights in the mixed dorm, because this was what we wanted. ||||The next day (our last night), we return from a long day of visiting the ruins at Pompeii. To fine someone else’s belongings are now on our bed and the owner is cleaning my belongings out of the locker. I am then provided the explanation that the hostel thought we were checking out today and was confused why our belongings were still here. This is despite booking 5 nights and confirming this upon arrival and paying for 5 nights. ||||The solution, we were hurriedly moved to the private...
Read moreThis is an ok hostel. I think the staff were good people, particularly the guy, but the woman had interchangeable moods - sometimes cheerful, sometimes sullen. Often their kid would wander around and get under my feet in the kitchen, which was rather dangerous given how small the kitchen was. However the staff had lovely friends who even offered me some food a few times! The rooms are a decent size, clean, warm and quiet. However some nights I was put on a sofa bed, not a real bed, and also during my stay I had to keep moving beds as new people arrived and left my room. This was really frustrating to come back to. Bathroom was kinda small and not a great shower. It was serviceable. The kitchen was WAY too small to cater for everyone staying there (10-15+ people). There is no real dining table, just a cramped side bar thing. Very good location, near Termini station (2 minute walk) and a great supermarket. You can get to pretty much everywhere via using the metro system. Overall, I'd say this was a serviceable hostel, with really great people running it, but I definitely expected better for the...
