So the reason I choose to vote 3 stars is a for a very specific reason: Firstly you are supposed to literally go in the front desk to order and take the food by your own instead of the staff doing it while they stay having a talk. Secondly you need to throw away the leftovers by your own. Thirdly the food. I’m sure about the appetisers and the side dishes being very good made and delicious BUT the ramen I ate today was pre-made, there was about 5 noodles sticking together while eating and you get the one use chopsticks and bowls how y’all so low quality. With missing food like the dango, matcha tiramisù.
Lastly, shouldn’t this ramen bar Akira be more costumer serviced, you’re working place is literally near all the tourists hot places like “ Fontana Di Trevi, via del corso, piazza del popolo, palazzo del quinirale, Rinascente, etc..” like this feels like a freaking fast food rather than a nice eating place. Still even overpriced even thought this reason is excused for the location of it.
Compared this place and the other ramen bar Akira in via ostiense 73f 00154 Roma RM, is etremelly different where everything...
Read moreIt is a very casual ramen shop that is obviously catered towards anime fans. We ordered a spicy tonkotsu ramen and a tonkatsu rice bowl. The service was slow. It was not very busy, yet it took 30 minutes for something that is served in a paper disposable bowl with plastic cutlery. We barely had time to make our flight. Food was not up to standard and too expensive for what it is (14-16 euros for a fastfood-like meal). The broth is too salty and a little viscous like a sauce, almost as if there had been starch added in. FYI Traditional bone broth is milky, not thick.
I also don’t understand why you charge 1EURO for disposable tableware almost as if the customers have a choice… if your mission is to reduce plastic waste for climate goals by implementing these compostable wares, then you are fooled. It cost more energy and resources to manufacture them than to wash ceramic/hard plastic bowls dinnerware in...
Read moreI was excited to have a rice dish but my katsudon was very disappointing. Rice is over washed and didn't have the 'fluffiness' that short grain rice should. The meat was thin (see image), and the egg had no flavour but was loaded with salt instead. It should be a sweet but savoury meal but I was left with a pure salt flavour. The price is €14.5. The thought of spending ¥2300 on this dish is laughable. The dish was served in a disposable bowl with disposable cutlery. They charged €1 for the paper mat that the meal was eaten on. It is also all self service - go up to counter/ get buzzer/ pick up from counter. The place is all decorations and novelty with no substance or warmth. They offer free dessert to everyone who rates their shop so positive reviews may be gained in this way. I am rating this place low during to all of...
