Came here because my I was in the area and this was one of the few places still open so late.
Ordered the grilled vegetables with focaccia, and spaghetti aglio e olio. They were tolerable. The vegetables had something on top of them, maybe breadcrumbs, that made them more bland, and they were soggy and not charred and crisp. The focaccia was not what I expected — maybe I am unfamiliar with the different types of focaccia out there but none the less, it was dry and had no flavor.
The pasta was drenched in oil, the garlic a little bit burnt, and the dish altogether lacking flavor.
The waiter smoked a cigarette right outside the door while I was eating, and the wind blew the cigarette smell into the dining area. His demeanor showed that he was entirely done with the day, which honestly I could understand given that it was just about closing time and I was the last table seated (but still left before other tables).
There’s indeed a €1.5 per person charge on the final bill. (Abbreviated as pax on the bill — I saw that other reviews mentioned this detail as well, so for one person €1.5, two people €3.0, etc).

Read moreSuperb little trattoria, tucked away from the main road but with excellent food and service nonetheless. The place came recommended to us by our hotel concierge and it seems from the reviews to be quite the popular spot. From our experience it was clear why - brilliant, tasty and authentic Italian food (we had the salmon pasta and ossobuco) and the service was very. The waiter recommended a Lazio wine rather than the chianti I'd picked, which was a revelation. Very good price wise too - much recommended and one to return to if I'm ever fortunate enough to be in Rome again.
Tip - book or get there early. It's popular - we returned the following night to see people queuing in the...
Read moreWe had a lovely dinner at this place. The concierge at our hotel called ahead to confirm our attendance. The restaurant was only a short walk from the hotel. I had the Spinach Stuffed Crepes and they were delicious. Made with fresh pasta and a lovely sauce, it was such a simple dish. My husband had the lasagna and it too was delicious. The restaurant is not fancy, but does have a cozy, local neighborhood vibe. Our waiter was very friendly. We shared a Tiramisu which was just enough. If you are looking for a place that is local, has some history, serves simple and tasty food, then you can't go wrong coming...
