😊: The location is very central with the lifts, ski rentals, ski pass shops, restaurants and shops all nearby. The room is also spacious and the view to the mountain from the third floor where we stayed was very nice, looking at both sides. The apartment was rather spacious with a room sleeping 3 persons, and also a sofa bed in the living room, so the 3 of us managed to all sleep in different beds which was great. There is also a kitchen in the apartment, while the owners also operate a restaurant on the ground floor where we had breakfast, although a bit pricey and extra every day..
😢: We didn't like 2 main things: 1. On the checkout day, our car got blocked in the hotel garage, which operates with a very slow lift that broke down. And we had to wait hours until it was finally fixed. We would have missed our flight in Munich if it weren't in the late afternoon and in fact we barely made it (boarded last). I have to say though that the manager offered us a taxi and to return our hired car in case the lift was not fixed within a timeframe. 2. We asked for 30 minutes more for the checkout the night before (instead of 10:00, 10:30) and they refused it. This was ridiculous. Given the delay of our departure, I went up and checked and nobody had entered the room to clean it until at least 11:30 (if not later)... And already 10:00am is very early, especially in a half empty hotel on a weekday at the end of March..
There were other things though:
The apartment, especially the bathroom, needs some renovation. The shower phone is fixed and cannot be taken out. This was really strange. And the bathroom overall is not modern. As we were a group of 20+ persons (7 families), some of the other families were staying in a much better and modern apartment with similar price. But we booked late, so we paid the price.
Also there is no elevator and we had to carry the luggage on our own 3 floors up and down.
The heating was not on during the night for the first couple of days and we said so and then...
😊: Excellent base for Val Gardena. The location is great, just minutes from Ortisei, So reaching Alpe di Siusi and Seceda is easy. The included public-transport pass is a real plus. Our apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a gorgeous view, and grocery stores and restaurants are a short walk away.. 😢: A couple of caveats: there are only six outdoor parking spaces and they can’t be reserved. Otherwise you’ll use the underground garage via a car lift, which staff must operate; handy, but not always convenient for quick in/outs. The kitchen could also use a few more utensils.
Overall, highly recommended for its location, comfort, and views, with minor parking and kitchen quirks to...
Read more😊: The equipment of the apartment was sufficient. The kitchenette is quite small, but sufficient for preparing simple snacks. A little disadvantage is that the bathroom with toilet is accessible only from the bedroom, which may suit someone less. The location of the apartment is central, shops, buses are nearby. Which means, however, that the area is busier.. 😢: The café on the ground floor is definitely great when you want to have a coffee or something sweet. Unfortunately the opening hours weren't very well kept in the evening, which meant that guests sitting on the terrace were noisier late in...
