Due to the very good reviews, we booked the hotel online for two days after our bike tour to Trieste. Tired and exhausted, we checked into the hotel at 3:00 p.m. When we asked whether we could store our two bicycles at the hotel, this was denied, supposedly due to lack of space. Unfortunately, even after persistent questioning, the reception (a man and a woman) did not make any effort to find a solution or offer a place to store our bikes within the hotel. We certainly didn’t feel “welcome”!
We were advised to use a nearby bike rental shop about 200 meters from the hotel. That’s what we did, paying €5 per bike per night for two nights.
Due to the very unfriendly reception, we didn’t feel comfortable and decided to book a different hotel for the second night. After we informed the hotel of our decision, a storage place for our bikes in the hotel was suddenly offered — unfortunately, too late!
When we asked whether we could shorten our stay to one night and get a refund for the second, the request was denied after consultation with hotel management. That means we had to pay for both nights even though we only stayed for one. We do not consider that particularly accommodating or customer-friendly.
The receptionist who checked us out the next day was very sorry about the situation, which we appreciated.
For the second night, we booked a room with a sea view at the Hotel Savoia Excelsior Palace. There we were warmly welcomed, and it was no problem at all to store our bikes in the hotel free of charge. The sea-view room, including breakfast, was also not more expensive than the youme hotel.
The rooms themselves, the breakfast service, the beds, and the bathroom at youme hotel were very good. Unfortunately, the unfriendly reception completely ruined our stay! Very unfortunate and unnecessary!

Read moreThis is a great hotel in a excellent location. The rooms are not the largest but offer everything you could want in an efficient modern space. They are very clean and comfortable.
This was our 2nd time stay here and proves to be consistent.
The front desk staff is courteous, friendly, & helpful. The Housekeeping Staff kept our room as clean during our entire stay as if we had just arrived.
Breakfast is excellent. Loredana offers excellent service and remembered my wife and I from our 1st stay in 2021, which was very impress to us given the number of guests this hotel probably hosted over the last 4 years!
She made excellent coffee and quickly offered excellent service and she knew what we needed before we did. She kept our table clean and tidy with timely refills of our coffee. She offered excellent advice for things to do around the city, including shopping, attractions, restaurants & cafes. With her level of customer service we think she should be in line fora raise and/or promotion.
Her skills with us and the way she handled a crowded dining area were exceptional. She is truly a valued asset to The YouMe Hotel. Bravo & Thank you Loredana!
We look forward to our next stay & hope she is leading the service staff or checking us in at the front desk.

Stanchi ed esausti, siamo arrivati all’hotel alle 15:00. Alla domanda se potevamo parcheggiare le nostre due biciclette all’interno dell’hotel, ci è stato risposto di no, a causa della presunta mancanza di spazio.
