The personnel speaks a strange language, for sure not italian, i ordered a calzone, nowhere was specified that for this kind of pizza the waiting time is longer, as in all the other pizzerie i went a fried pizza is ready in the same time of a normal pizza, but: All my friends got their dinner and i still waited for longer, no matter the place was full, they must organize to fullfill the greater people flux also in special occurings as the barcolana regatta, the only explanation i got was, always in a bad italian(later my friends told me this is "neapolitan"), that fried pizza takes longer, anyway i also ordered some red wine and it was freezing cold (unacceptable, served also in a glass with the price sticker still attached on), in the endless meantime (20 min waiting to order, 40 min wait for the pizza) i tried some of my friend's pizzas and the crust was good imo. Then finally the beast has arrived, no lying the best calzone i ever ate, perfect under every aspect, the only problem was the oil absorbing paper towel it was out on. By the time i started cutting the calzone, the latter started dissolving(linked photo), so i ended up eating some of the paper pieces falling off, this wasn't expected and removing the paper sheet fixed the problem 95%. The wine was ok, the waiting time for the pizza allowed me to taste it at ambient temperature with ease, a bit overpriced (5euro for 150ml) but i understand the reason because of the location, 11 euros for the calzone, really worth it as it was freakin good. 3 stars are honest considering the waiting time and the other issues. Then came the time to ask for the bill, the waiter told me 5 mins without even wanting to hear what i had to say, then after some time the bill came and we payed and left...

Read moretourists be carefull.. many locals eat here but as soon as a tourist comes somehow they are in ripping-off modus. i think most of you would like to know why.. let me start at the order... the waiter asked do you want some anti pasti? we said yes put us some bread and a little plate of anti pasti. they came back with 2 big plates of anti pasti (we were with a group of 8) so i said to him stop. how much does these plates cost. he made a gesture that everything would be ok.. but saying no price. i asked the price again then he said 44 euros for 2 plates..so we thought this is an ok price so lets eat. but it was pretty much and everybody was allready full.
i was sceptical and asked the bill for that we allready have gotten. they charged us 50 euro per plate.. are you kidding! so we asked the manager and said we are not going to pay this. after a big discussion we got 40 euros of our bill.
the funniest part and the most stupid part is that everybody wanted to order several dishes which were at least 15 euro per plate. so in the end they lost more money than they could have gotten when they not ripped us off.
o yeah btw all the pizza's i saw on the other table where burned and every single pizza had a black crost (with is not good for your health)
fact: we got ripped off 2 times in trieste that day.. so be carefull and always ask...
