So this is a super small hotel overall with about only 7 or 8 rooms so they share the reception services with another hotel behind it. This means that there is no one at the reception which is fine actually so you ring the bell at the door and they come. But… there is no phone in the rooms so there is no one you can call when you realise there is no iron in the rooms. (No toothbrushes or other amenities either) The rooms and bathroom were beautiful and the furniture in the common area was very lovely too. Beds were very comfortable and it wound have been lovely for 2 people but a little cramped for 3 with luggage. Overall, the service was a little lacking as you have to take your luggage up and down stairs yourself in the hotel and whilst they changed the towels there was no cleaning of the bathroom or room while we were there. You have to get there by boat only so add 100E each way and you need to make your way across the bridge with your luggage yourself. (Although I think that’s most places) The location is excellent. It’s so frenetic anywhere near Rialto or San Marco you just can’t stay there, so this was a perfect spot to be with lots of life still and only a 10 min walk from the...
Read moreThis hotel is an extension of Hotel Tinterello. You check in there, then make your way to the entrance of this 3-story renovated hotel. There are no lifts . Once inside, the authentic Venetian charm has been maintained. You walk into a room with old wooden doors, old wooden beams, a piano, a selection of paintings, and a 6 seater large wooden table it was a place we got together with the other 2 couples after a day of exploring Venice. The rooms were quite large, and the ac was central ducted, so there is no temp control within the room, but all you had to do was contact reception, and they would change the settings. No fridge in room, large room, good sized bathroom, but shower was above a bathtub , stepping in and out can be a challenge . The room windows opened up to a view of a canal and a small square, as the hotel is also attached to an unused church. The location is a 15 min walk from the railway station and over 3 small bridges, which can also be a challenge with large heavy luggage. The breakfast was ok it is connected to both hotels. The staff were excellent and I would recommend...
Read moreLove this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful (they booked out private water taxi to the airport and kept my medicine in their refrigerator during our stay). The location is excellent for exploring, though note for arrival it is quite a ways from the main arrival dock - I recommend a private water taxi from the airport or at the very least the assistance of one of the many porters you'll find to help you through town with your luggage). We stayed (for the second time) in a suite with a canal view and terrace. The room has 4 beds (2 together, plus 1 twin in the same room and 1 twin in a separated room though no door between the 2). The terrace is very large and overlooks a lovely quiet canal lined with residential homes. The cafe associated with the hotel offers a nice breakfast. I highly...
