Stayed in the hotel during the Carnival period. It is well located just off the main thoroughfare with its private little square which provides it with a special charm. Be careful to verify how to reach it before arriving, as the indications are not accurate in both Google Maps or the website. Check-in was fast and all the staff was extremely friendly, polite and efficient. They are very accommodating to guests' requests.||The whole hotel has been renovated recently, so the facilities are modern and look like the photos. Room has good heating system.||Room is comfortable for one person, but is on the limit of comfort for two persons. There is TV, complimentary tea and coffee, and a welcome biscuit and water. Bed is comfortable, and the wifi fast and with no glitches.||The only thing missing are shelves in the bathroom and shower, their lack proves challenging even with travel toiletries. There is no lift, only stairs, so no heavy luggage. There is no breakfast room, so guests are provided with breakfast to the door of their rooms.||Location is great to reach many landmarks, cafes, restaurants and shops, both the popular and the...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I came here for a weekend trip to Venice - this hotel is SO overpriced for what you get! We are not very fussy at all and don’t usually complain about anything. We were given a room the size of a cupboard and you can’t even move around! (Don’t be fooled by what the website shows) We then noticed that the bed sheets were covered in dry blood from a previous customer clearly and we were so disgusted. The room was so unclean. The hotel staff did let us have a new room (not any bigger!) but this hotel clearly has a problem with mosquitoes because we woke up covered in bites which was so unpleasant and we spent the rest of the trip itching!!! ||||The staff during the day were polite and helpful. The breakfast was very average, with not much choice just stale bread and eggs....When it came to check out, we were told it was 11am but a staff member knocked on the door at 10am and rudely told us to leave! Overall, we spent a lot of money on a very average hotel (although the location is great) but I really would not recommend to anyone due to very poor hygiene and...
Read moreCheck-in was smooth and the room was ready at 2pm. I booked this hotel for a few reasons, one being that it had AC (as advertised on website). The room was stuffy and uncomfortable but they said it wasn't the season - so they could not turn air con on. Nothing like sweating to death and having your deodorant and chapstick melt.
The wi-fi signal from the lobby is great... from the room, it is totally trash! No wi-fi in room, and very poor cell service, rendering my phone very slow and unusable when I needed it. The shower door was dingy & moldy (probably because poor air circulation) and the shower/bathroom in general was pretty tiny.
Breakfast wasn't included in my rate so I can't speak to that. Walls are paper-thin and doors, stairs, people walking, etc are all loud. I was 1st floor so there was no view but I'm sure the higher floors have views, although no elevator. Near the canal so the party boats do pose a noise problem at night. Glad I was only...
