There are several restaurants and convenience stores within a short walk. The hells of Beppu tour also leaves from the hotel.|• The room was cozy and bed was comfortable|• The onsen was great and relaxing|• Breakfast was average with local Oita delicacies, if breakfast is not included in your rate, you are not missing much|Cons:|• There were no skin products in the public bath, take at least a bottle of toner with you|• You need to take your towels from the room to go to onsen. There is a basket for used towels and if you need additional towels, you need to contact the reception. Read moreour hotel in Beppu was very poor. It started on arrival when one of the (small) rooms we were offered smelled very musty. We swapped this room for a better room in the back. We kept the front room ourselves, which we shouldn't have done given the considerable traffic noise at times. Also the temperature in the room could not be adjusted properly. If we turned on the AC it was too cold, if we left it off it got too hot. The breakfast was also very limited and mainly aimed at the Japanese customer. It was breakfast in all of our hotels, but here it was extreme.|They also did not reserve a table in a restaurant. Other hotels have done this.
