Oaso — Restaurant in Beppu

Found at google maps and given a try since never try horse meat before. Located nearby the Beppu Onsen. Great meal as my supper after sand bath. Came at 9.30pm, only 2 customers inside. Feel so comfort and welcome especially the lady owner is super friendly and helpful. She know to speak little English, therefore I got no problem on ordering. Or just show them the picture you want from review here! Fresh meat served, my first try. Taste just like normal as other meat, or even won’t know it’s horse if not being told. Taste even better if seasoning with garlic or ginger puree. Meat shipped directly from Kumamoto. Having a great chat and fun there. Highly recommended for it if you’re at Beppu.

結婚して東京に住んでおり、夫と初めての大分旅行に来ました。 一件目に関さば関あじを食べ、20分程度お散歩した先に見つけた馬刺し専門のお店♡ 雰囲気もいいし、ある程度調べてたので期待値爆上がりです！

Trotz eingeschränkter Englischkenntnisse sucht sie intensiv das Gespräch und lacht sich regelmässig einen ab dabei. Der Mann hingegen ist still und konzentriert sich aufs Essen. Und das ist echt gut! Wir hatten Pferde-Sashimi, leicht angegrilltes Pferd, Pferde-Spiess und Pferde-Suppe. Minuspunkt: Das ganze ist etwas teuer (5’125 Yen für das obengenannte) und satt waren wir danach eigentlich nicht. Sonst wirklich ein Besuch wert — der Unterhaltung wegen und auch weil das Essen...
