The road to Mt.Fuji — Hotel in Fujiyoshida

Could be more clean. Very basic kitchen, have had better with the price paid for this type of homes. Beginning to be run down and tatami getting a bit tired. Despite the old basic shower, shower head water was quite powerful. There was no washing machine although there was laundry detergent and hangers, turns out there’s some sort of washing machine out the back. Unsure who would do this. Would try other accommodations. Unsure why there was that door inside, maybe it was repurposed from its og decor. Would have had been nice if there was no gap at the top of the fake door that connects to bedroom. Make sure they msg you with key code once registered your ID details before arriving or you will have to call them on the spot. Might not be possible if you don’t have roaming. Checkout time is 10am. Very pricey staycation for a very poor service and amenities. We are here in Jan 1, 2024 WINTER. The AC in the living room is not functioning well. TOO COLD! Too many requirements before you stay. Need to send IDs and pets vaccine etc. They will ask for 5,000 yen for bringing pets without having any single amenity for pets. No vacuum cleaner. The tatami room is too cold, they have a small gas heater that cant even make the room warm. TOO COLD for staying here in winter. Shower room is too small. Not worth the money. Its like an old shop that they turn out into a staycation. Not going...

I stayed in Japan for 2 weeks and this was one of the hotels I stayed in and honestly it was one of the best. The hotel was very clean the kitchen was equipped with everything I needed for my stay. I could not have been happier with the room and it’s location. Right across the street is a beautiful little park that was prefect for a nice walk and to get away from the big city. You can also see Mount Fuji right when you walk out the front door, I would 100% stay here again. Also they allow you to try on the helmet and it was so much fun to take...
