Nice hotel. Very close to Hakata station and express bus terminal, about a 3 minute walk to the station. Boutique type of hotel, the entrance and front desk areas are nicely done. So easy to use as a home base to get around. I traveled to Kumamoto, Huis Ten Bosch and Shimonoseki very easily. Also walked to Canal City and Tenjin from the hotel. Breakfast can be provided depending on your reservation. They have a restaurant room for breakfast. TripAdvisor hotel photos show exactly the layouts of the rooms and the breakfast. The breakfast is standard, american or japanese and the breakfast is exactly the same every day (only the jam changes daily). ||As with most rooms in japan the single room is smallish but adequate for one person. Front desk was so-so, japanese clerks spoke very little english. Non japanese clerks spoke english and could help english speaking tourists better. ||I did not request daily cleaning and they only gave me new towels and razors when they did clean my room (suggestion to hotel, you should drop off new towels daily even if cleaning wasn’t requested, many hotels do that). ||Overall I liked the hotel. Conveniently located near the station so you won’t get lost walking to the hotel. If I visit Fukuoka again I would stay here again. Highly recommended. I booked 3 months in advance so only paid around $45 a night total for single room with breakfast, great prices for a 5 night stay although I think they charged me an extra 10-12 yen upon checkin...
Read moreNice hotel, situated so close to Hakata Main Train Station - around 4-5 minutes and it was so easy to find it.||||The staff - polite and cooperative!||The cleaning was efficacy. There give you a daily free kit with tooth brush with tooth-paste, comb, razor for men, foam, after shaving balsam and cotton buds. The pressure of the water was good. There is hot water 24/7.||||WiFi - strong signal and free of charge! ||||You've got a little fridge in the room, hair dryer and a trouser press.||||Tea and coffee facilities - kettle for hot water, daily free sugar, cream, instant coffee and tea bags.||||In the room exists only japanese electrical outlets, so you need some power plug /adapter. But you can ask the hotel reception and they will give you for free till the end of your stay.||||There are in the hotel rooms for smokers, which is very pleasent! ||||For me, the only negative thing was the breakfast, because you've got only 1 european /american choice. I hope that the hotel management will take this note into account. The staff in the breakfast room was amazing too. They remember that I like lemons, and every morning they served me sliced lemon. I appreciate that and send them one...
Read moreThe hotel is located very near to JR Hakata (five minutes walk from the station), making it a lot easier to commute to different towns and the airport. The staff were relatively helpful and attentive. The room size is quite small, but considered to be reasonable taking into account the fact that it's in Japan. All amenities are fully provided. What surprisingly impressed me would be the hotel toiletries especially shower gel and shampoo, which I couldn't resist buying them when check-out. The minus of this hotel is that wifi is only available in the lobby, not the room and sometimes it wasn't accessible. Comparing with the hotel with the same rate (or even lower), this was a bit of...
