We only stayed for a night. Room is quite small for 3. I had a parcel that was supposed to be delivered to this hotel days before my check in. However I realised that the English address in the Google website of this hotel was incomplete and when translated to Japanese, the courier man could not locate the hotel and my parcel could not be delivered for many days. On the day of my check in, I spoke to one lady receptionist (by name of Zhuo in Chinese). My intention is for her to assist me to call the courier service as a translator (to confirm the delivery address as a final attempt) as the following day would be my departure from Japan. The phone operation was in Japanese and therefore I could not communicate on phone with them. Zhuo told me that she could not assist as this was my personal issue. In fact I was quite upset that she replied this way. She even said that this was not their fault and I asked her if it was my fault then? She was unhelpful and had arrogant behaviour and I seriously think she should not be working for the hotel as she would tarnish the reputation of this hotel. I got assistance from the Manager Shinya Kawakami and Assistant Manager Yukie Akiyoshi eventually though the matter was not fully resolved and I got assistance from somewhere else. Fortunately the parcel finally arrived late on that day before my departure.

The “shin” word was left out in the address in the Google website of this hotel. Would be good if this hotel can update their address correctly to prevent inconvenience to their guests in future.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my thanks to Yukie and Shinya who tried to assist...

Nice Hotel, clean. Small rooms but have never seen a big room in Japan. Beds are nice. Comforters, sheets and pillows are nice. Bathroom is adequate. Big deep bathtub. Nice size shower with waterfall and spray head. Amenities like shampoo, conditioner and body wash, razors, toothbrush, comb.. Towels are very plush. Thick. Comfortable bath robes and slippers. Big T.V. with many channels. Easy walk to Hakata train station and bus terminal. As well as groceries, restaurants and shopping. We opted to stay on the 8th floor. The premium floor. Which costs more. But you get a free drink each day of your stay. As well as a breakfast buffet coupon which can exchange for lunch buffet if you wish. Breakfast buffet includes 1 menu item choice AND buffet. Lunch includes 3 menu items AND buffet. Some lunch items have a slight uncharge. All the food was very good. Breakfast and lunch buffet are the same food items. Menu is much different. Staff were all very nice. A nice greeting each time you came and went. A special 5 stars to Hikura ( Jay). He works in the " Bar". Wonderful person, very kind. Very helpful to us. People like Jay are one reason we " Love" Japan...Jay needs a raise...!!! I deducted 1 star because our room smelled like sewer gas every day. We tried keeping the door shut, covering the drain in the shower but nothing seemed to help. And housekeeping failed to clean very well. Did not vacuum, toilet not cleaned. I would definitely return and...

Firstly, upon checked in, we needed four rooms but we check in two as rest went for a meal. Have an elderly and already requested as near elevator, they did assign quite near elevator but instead of two room beside, front desk gave us a room each on the opposite sides !! And the other two families also separated taking opposite sides!! Well, not a big deal but it's the initiative that they lacked appalled us ! |Second the pillows are so soft and we for a harder pillow but they claim they have only a memory foam from the whole hotel!!! How ridiculous?! The aircon is as good as not working but they claim it is and the place is stuffy but the whole hotel does not have a small fan or standing fan!!! |Was shocked to see the bath towel is worse than my floor towel!! Tattered and torn!! |This is one of the worst hotel I ever stay in Japan as so far their 3 star hotels did not fail me as much as this hotel. |The carpet is dusty and obviously need a good vacuuming ...|Next to use the bath tub, did a rinse with the shower head and suddenly, there were a many little flies in the water!! Gosh... that's the last time to use this bath tub and totally put us off.|Overall, I believe there are so many other better choices in Japan. This is the first time that Japan has disappoint me. |Will...

I booked a Comfort Single room for three nights at The Royal Garden Hotel Fukuoka, but my stay was uncomfortable. The room had an excessive number of mirrors: a full-length mirror outside the bathroom’s sliding door, one above the desk, and two in the bathroom. The most unsettling was the bedhead facing the bathroom door’s mirror, making sleep uneasy. When I requested a room change, the staff said it would cost extra. I believe guests shouldn’t pay for a design flaw that causes discomfort. Additionally, the hotel’s website photos didn’t show this mirror-heavy setup, which feels misleading. To my disappointment, the staff offered no alternative solutions, only mentioning the additional fee. The lack of flexibility and problem-solving, combined with the uncomfortable room design, made my stay disappointing. I expected better from a hotel of this standard.

Really nice hotel, about 3 blocks from the main entrance to the Hakata train station. Has a Chinese restaurant and a nice bar downstairs. Money exchange machine in the lobby, also a microwave, and 2 bathrooms. Staff is very friendly and helpful, they always greet you when you come in and as you leave. They will hold your luggage if you come early or check out and want to come back to the hotel. Laundry machine inside the hotel. Room was nice and spacious, had some amenities inside the room. One thing about my toilet… the sprayer shot at an unusual angle 😂. I honestly liked the view from my room so I could watch the street and not some building wall. I would definitely come back and stay here again. Oh and the best part is they have a Lawson downstairs.

The room is reasonably nice, with a big bathtub and decent shower space. Service is great, we stayed for four nights with breakfast included. And we were told that the breakfast and beer changed to lunch instead, so we tried their lunch on our last day. And it was surprisingly good, with many selections and tasty food, not to mention it was so popular that even the locals were there for the lunch course. The hotel location is great, between the Hakata station and Kushida-jinja Shrine station. The staff was attentive and very welcoming, I would recommend it. One thing I might complain about is the air condition seems a bit on and off, sometimes it doesn’t work as we want.
