The place is social media friendly, hence high reviews, but in reality it’s really painful to actually use the hotel and not only take pictures: the walls of the room are PAPER THIN: every night I was woken up by people talking (once even arguing!). Hearing that, I was whispering to my partner in my OWN room, not to disturb the neighbors. there is NO elevator: after 3 weeks of travelling in Japan, it was a bad surprise to discover that we need to climb with 3 suitcases to the third floor - the hotel staff did not offer to help. check out at 10 am: you are paying for one day stay but you need to wake up early to check out on time! the stairs in the room are insanely dangerous: there is no safety bar and the stairs are EXTREMELY steep that even with caution you will slip once per night stayed at this hotel. “breakfast included”: don’t believe in that, they offer pancakes (which are below average) with two pre-made set of ingredients, toast with jam and old croissant. Coffee, milk and tea. For this price, they could step up and offer actual buffet. Wi-Fi was super slow. service was not helpful: they made me feel rushed on several occasions - breakfast, cocktails, welcome drink. Despite the breakfast finishing at 10:00 am (with last order at 9:30), at 9:00 am the staff was cleaning the area of the poor “buffet”. Same happened when we used our voucher for welcome drink (which despite a larger menu of cocktails included only 4-5 very simple and honestly not good positions), the bar was supposedly opened until 10 pm but already at 9 pm the staff was cleaning up and turning off the lights.

Bad: 15min walk from station loft bed can get pretty annoying when you need to use the washroom or forget your stuff my room was missing the TV Poor Wi-Fi for my corner room which makes it hard to plan for the next day. No bottled water No humidifier to survive the cold dry weather Room service doesn’t change and do bedsheets wooden logs and roof very near your face when sleeping. Saw the little brown friend crawling on the log one meter above my face and couldn’t sleep the night. It’s also not possible to clean it I guess, so it gets pretty dusty can’t charge phone at sofa as ports are far no...

The location was for us the best you can get. Just a hop and a skip from the main station but away from the major road and any traffic sounds. The vibes inside are everything you would want in order to feel comfortable and at home. Especially loved the breakfast option as it was made in front of you and tasted incredible. There is also a vegetarian option with the salad which my partner made use of! Also there is a small shrine just behind the hotel and a small area in the 2nd floor to chill outside.

We got matcha drinks a few times and can say they were also incredible.
