Hidden gem. Food was perfect. Local ingredients only, carefully curated by the chef. Grilled pork with rice and egg yolk is amazing Ramen was made without using umami seasoning and preservatives, making it taste so clean and different yet still flavorful in a unique way. Omelette was so perfect. The best I have ever had. The Kyoto Duck Loin Ramen was unique. The duck was cooked to perfection. No gamy taste and smell. Perfectly crispy and tender. The flan was divine. Interior is stunning. It feels like a very high end, expensive omakase experience. Very intimate. All the tableware are ceramic and custom made. Again, local ingredients. Table texture feels expensive. A wonderful experience. I have been to many fine dining and Michelin restaurants. This place is at the very top. Best everything. Rice was perfectly cooked and addicting. Worth getting out of the way for this restaurant. Will...

This was such an incredible meal. There were 6 of us and we all got different meals but we all really enjoyed it across the board.

The place seats 10 and the ambiance inside is really cool. Seems to be run as a 2 person operation where you’re taken care of by 1 person who takes your order and looks after you, and the other is cooking/preparing the food in the back (except you can still see them doing their thing which is also really nice).

The food is also spectacular. Can’t go wrong with any of the ramens (all delicious), and the sides and donabe rice is yummy too (we got the charcoal grilled pork rice w/ egg yolk). Also the dessert is great too!

All in all a fantastic spot to get dinner if you’re in the Kyoto...

Outstanding speciality ramen. I'm almost hesitant to write a review because I don't want others to find out about this place and start causing long waits. The place only seats 10. Owner chef is a deceptively young chef who has created his own broth from 100% seafood and yet the taste is complex and flavourful. If no one told you it was seafood broth, you wouldn't know. Everything on the limited menu is sourced from special farms, etc. Even the salt is from a specific island. The chilled tomato ramen is amazing, just as good as the hot ramen, but perfect on a summer day. The grilled pork bowl and the homemade pudding are also amazing. Can't go wrong here. Worth the trip if you are in the area visiting...
