I was visiting Japan and Kyoto in April 2023. with my family. We were traveling from Croatia/Europe and stayed mainly in Tokyo and Kyoto. One of our goals was to feel Japanese tradition so we decided to sleep in Korakuan. It was a good decision because this old townhouse gave us a unique experience that allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in reach Japanese culture and hospitality. All room (1st and 2nd floor) are covered in Tatami. I hope to going...

We were so happy here - the beds were so comfortable and it was a peaceful experience. The host Rika was sooo wonderful and went over and above for us, also helped us to book a couple of restaurants. It's a 10 minute walk to Nijo Station, and there are many restaurants nearby and a Family Mart only a 2min walk away. For an amazing culinary experience, try Youshin (¥5500 or ¥8000 pp for a dinner degustation plus drinks) - it was one of the best meals we've had and was recommended by the host! We were sad...
