平安宮豊楽殿跡 — Attraction in Kyoto

史跡　平安宮豊楽殿跡 平安宮には、天皇の住まいである内裏をはじめとして多数の役所が軒を連ねていました。国家的な儀式を執り行う場所として平安宮の南中央部には朝堂院が、その西側へは豊楽殿が設けられました。豊楽殿は、おもに天皇の饗宴を行うことを目的に造営されたものですが、先の都である平城宮や長岡宮には造られていません。 1987年10月から翌年にかけておこなった発掘調査によって、豊楽殿（豊楽院の正殿）の基壇の西北隅と北側建物への渡り廊下の一部を発見することができました。 盛り上がった土壇の周りに細い溝が巡っていました。これは基壇を化粧するのに用いた凝灰岩を据えた跡で、切り石の一部が部分的ではありますがよく残っています。こうした基壇を壇上積基壇といいます。これにより、今から1200年前に造られた頃の姿を知ることができます。基壇の上で、5箇所の礎石を据え付けた位置を確認することができました。 豊楽殿は東西（桁行）９間（39,3m）、南北（梁間）4間（16,2m）の建物で、屋根には緑色をした瓦（緑釉瓦）が葺かれていました。鳳凰が羽を左右に大きく広げた姿をレリーフした緑釉の鴟尾も発見しています。 今回豊楽殿の北側で見つけた渡り廊下は、造営された時にはなく、後に造られたこともあきらかになりました。敷地内の一段高くなっている所は、基壇跡と廊下跡の一部です。平安宮跡の中でこのような基壇跡が今でも盛り上がっているのはこの付近だけです。 平安宮豊楽殿跡は、古代宮都を解明する上で重要な遺跡であることから平成2年度国の史跡に指定されました。 指定年月日：平成2年2月22日 指定地　　　：京都市中京区聚楽廻西町85 指定面積　：542平方メートル 京都市 Historic site Heian Palace Burakukuden site Heian Palace was lined with many government offices, including the inner lining of the emperor's residence. There was a thin groove around the raised soil. This is the trace of the tuff that was used to make up the platform, and some of the cut stones remain, albeit partially. Such a platform is called a platform stacking platform. This will give you an idea of ​​how it was built 1200 years ago. On the platform, we were able to confirm the positions where the five cornerstones were installed. Burakukuden is a building with 9 kens (39,3 m) east-west (girders) and 4 kens (16,2 m) north-south (beams), and the roof was covered with green tiles (green glaze tiles). We have also discovered the green glaze Shibi, which is a relief of the phoenix with its wings spread widely to the left and right. It became clear that the passageway found on the north side of Burakukudenwas not built when it was built, but was built later. The raised part of the site is part of the ruins of the platform and the ruins of the corridor. This is the only place in the Heian Palace ruins where such a platform trace is still rising.
