Beautiful, clean, quiet, and friendly. There's not too much more to say as we only stayed one night but our hosts provided everything we could think of needing including restaurant recommendations with a map of how to get to them and their hours (places in Japan can close early so this was much appreciated). They even give you ear plugs if you're sensitive to noise but I found myself not needing them at all on a Sunday morning as it was extremely quiet and peaceful during our entire stay.

There are no famous temples, no fashionable shopping center, no other tourists, no sightseeing congestion. You'll see market working professionals, cheap old fashioned local restaurants, shops, candid Kyoto face, that's why this is very safe area.

Owner became aggressive and called me “Selfish” and “Chinese” for wanting to use the bath tub, advertised on his Airbnb both with pictures and in writing. He put up a sign “do not touch” on his bath tub.
I asked for extra pillow to no avail, also advertised on Airbnb.
I didn’t ask for any other amenities. Try your luck which one he wants to charge you extra. (He wanna charge me 500 yen per use of his bath tub.)
