I had the pleasure of dining at ‘Indian Nepal Restaurant Sakura’, formerly known as ‘Pabitra’, near Shin-Imamiya station in Osaka, and what an incredible experience it was! Run by the warm and welcoming couple Mr. & Mrs. Sujan Khatri’, this restaurant offers a truly authentic taste of Nepal and India. Both Sujan and his wife are talented chefs, pouring their passion and heritage into every dish. Their cooking reflects tradition, warmth, and expertise, bringing out rich, bold flavors that transport you straight to the heart of Nepal and India. The food was absolutely delicious – from fragrant curries to perfectly baked naan, every bite was bursting with authenticity and homemade love. It’s rare to find a place where the chefs not only craft amazing dishes but also genuinely care about their guests, making you feel at home the moment you step in. We as family are vegetarian and bit picky our food outside, while travelling. After a very long time, had such an amazing and authentic food. After our first dinner, we as family again picked this restaurant for next day dinner as well, and we did. First day we tried Veg Thukpa, Chilly Momo, daal, mix veg and Garlic naan. Second day kids again ordered Veg Momo, chilli momos, Thukpa, and we tried new dish Veg fried rice and veg chowmein as well. Taste of garlic naam is amazing and their mix veg is very unique.
For anyone in Osaka craving real Indian & Nepali cuisine, ‘Indian Nepal Restaurant Sakura’ is an absolute gem worth discovering.

Wow the food here was great! I had the butter chicken masala with rice which was very nice. You can also choose your spice level, I went for a medium level of spice and it was just right. I was craving a good cheesy naan bread too and that was amazing, cooked to perfection!
The owner was also super friendly and was interested in where I was from and about my trip. Would highly recommend if you are looking for some great Indian/Nepalese food...
