First time for me to stay at a capsule type of hotel. The sleeping pods room is double doored from the shower and bathroom area on the same floor so it's very quiet in the sleeping area.
Sleeping pods have power outlet and USB charging plug for charging laptop and mobile phone. Dark sleeping lights are nice and the main pod light is plenty bright when you're awake and quietly working or tending to travel plans.
The shower room seemed clean and well ventilated and heated seats and bidet are always a luxury I only find in Japan. 🙏🏻💯🇯🇵
There are a few common areas open 24 hours, but I didn't use them. There are vending machines near the check-in desk on the 5th floor. They put me on the 7th floor but the elevator only goes up to 6th floor, so keep in mind that you still might need to use stairs.
You get an access badge that works the elevator and locks and unlocks your locker. I don't think the locks are very tough so I kept valuables with my in my sleeping pod area. When you travel always keep your passport and wallet on your person, even when you use the restroom or shower (keep it with your towel and clean clothes). This is just common sense to avoid ruining your trip and travels.
Overall my stay was comfortable, quiet and after a hot shower and getting dressed for the day I feel rested, recharged and ready for the check out time at 10am.
I would definitely stay here again if traveling solo and I booked through Airbnb which was a little cheaper than booking direct or through Google maps.
I shared a few pictures but did find that the place looks exactly as seen in the pictures, so I don't think you'll be disappointed. I even read many of the negative reviews and guessing that occasionally someone has a bad experience, but my stay was positive and I'm glad I made the decision to stay here, even though it's...
Read moreWell I'm a hostel noob and this was my first time staying in one. It has set the bar pretty high, typing from my 2nd (current) hostel. Staff were very helpful and their air was pleasant, I think most of them are friends, they seemed happy to work there.
Elevator (thank goodness)
Clean bathrooms, showers and powder room. Modern fixtures that make everything seem even cleaner. Not fancy, but good quality.
Tall lockers for hanging a few clothes and securing goods. I liked that the lock was a key-card. Lockers and Luggage in a seperate room adjoining the capsules, good for storing stinky clothes and shoes. Also, if you need to access your suitcase at night, you won't wake other people up :) (no locks for suitcases, just suitcase shelves for everyone to share)
-Bed was comfy for the price! The absolute best part was having a draw-down blackout curtain. At my current hostel the curtain is SHEER MESH. why?? Also, I barely heard anyone! I think the walls are well soundproofed so any noise would only come through the capsules opening. quite muffled.
-I liked that there was a fridge for food, free amenities like toothbrushes and earplugs, and you could use sanitizing wipes to clean the common tables before eating.
Security cameras in many areas including locker room. I appreciated that the staff were diligent when I felt concerned about a perv I encountered on a travelers meetup app, who unfortunately knew where I was staying. They asked for his photo from the app so they could see if he ever came by on the security cameras outside the elevators Street entrance. I felt a lot better when they took my concern seriously.
Those are the things that stood out to me the most! You should feel good about booking here, a reasonable price for a very...

If you can't follow these two rules, you are not suitable to stay in capsule hotel. Overall my experience was just okay experience. Very efficient checking in/out, very friendly staff. First time experiencing capsule hotel in Japan and I would definitely try a different capsule hotel. First night after landing in Japan and would like to get a good rest, some customers were talking to each other so loudly around midnight in Korean language. Not only being loud in the room, but also eating in the room. Capsule hotels are not suitable for group travelers if you want to chat/talk to each other. The locker room is pretty tidy. The shower room is quite small. Powder station is quite spacious with a sink separated between each other with a partisan. Lounge is outside on 5th floor lobby. There is hot/cold water dispenser, fridge, vending machine, complimentary hair ties/ear plugs/shavers across from front desk. Very convenient location in dotonbori,...
