PSA: if you are not comfortable showering with others like in a traditional Japanese bath house, get over it or don't come here because please understand that the shower room is SHARED. There is a lock on the door to enter the shower room, but the shower room is not meant for your personal private use. Don't lock other guests out.
Otherwise, had a double twin room for a few days The location is good for accessing Lake Yamanaka and Fujiyoshida. The drive in is one lane so it can be a bit scary for ppl unfamiliar to driving in narrow parts but I didn't run into much traffic going in and out. Good amount of parking spots at the guesthouse. Read moreIt was a great fun experience to stay here in e-ne guesthouse it's so relaxing and comfortable. The owner of the house is really kind and accommodating. We are three in the room it was spacious and clean,double deck, with heater with a mt fuji view😍 theres a bath towel and toothbrush set. Ofuro with bodysoap/shampoo/conditioner and hair dryer the water comes from the mountain. Aside from that there is a near tourist spot that accessible from guest house the oshino hakkai and bus stop area about 10mins by foot. Read moreThe owner here was incredibly kind! The common area was large, and well stocked. Of the 3 months in Japan so far, this was the first place I felt I could relax and wasn't fighting for space. The nearby resturant Gladlys is also awesome, as recommended by the owner.
One note for people staying here, and general tip for the Fuji five lakes areas. Almost everywhere you go involves walking along the side of the roads with no pavements, and it's really dark at night so it can be tricky to get to and commute around these places late at night, bring a torch or head...
