Loved my stay here! Yes it’s a really old ryokan. But if you want an authentic experience this is the place to go. It felt like you can stay and be part of the town. The staff were super accommodating and they always greet you with a smile. I can’t really speak Japanese fluently, but they have these translation devices ready to help and understand. The hotel also lends you bicycles (limited) for free. I got yo bike around. And it takes you to the loveliest beach around the area. You can also drive there and they have multiple lots available for you. There’s a little arcade (really small so don’t expect a big one) a karaoke room (how cool ya). Coin laundry and dryer! Came with breakfast and dinner! I met spiders and a lizard though. But for the price range this is quite a steal (the space is huge and view, beautiful). Still loved the place. Haha it’s really homey.

Negative: It’s an old hotel. The rooms are very smelly, because smoking is allowed in the rooms. We didn’t know when we booked so I was disappointed. Positive things: The staff is very kind and brought an air purifier into our room. 5* to the staff members and the views, but the building needs a lot of cleaning or a solid renovation. The food is amazing! Wide variety of Japanese dishes to try of from the buffet for breakfast and dinner! Spacious rooms if you don’t mind or not sensitive to the smell.

Very horrible staying experience. The $200-a-night rooms were incredibly old, and the food in the restaurant was not good. On top of that was the invasion of my privacy, the fact that a little boy was allowed in a women's public bathroom. And when I mentioned this to the front desk she actually told me that this is just normal in Japan. So why don't you inform foreign visitors of this Japanese custom in advance on your website so that I won’t book this hotel.
