Enter and use the kiosks to your left to check in (passed the shoe locker at the entrance). (Keep your shoes on).

*I let them know I would need to purchase a tattoo cover up sticker but they said its fine and was not necessary which I was relieved to hear. So, yes, they are tattoo friendly!

You will receive 2 sets of keys, one for the shoe locker at the entrance and the second is your floor key to access your capsule. (i connected them together so I wouldn't lose them).

You will be offered a set of lounge wear as well. Regular is free, large will be an extra charge? Not sure how much.

Go back to the shoe lockers at entrance and remove your shoes in your corresponding locker that matches your key number. Now you can wear the house slippers provided.

*Before entering the elevator you will grab one big towel, one small towel and a brown bag. (I noticed others had it on them but I wasn’t offended one so I had to jump back in the elevator to return to the first floor. I even stopped another girl and offered her the towels and bag before reminding her to drop off her luggage on the 2nd floor first).

[Pro tip: just use the stairs to get to the 2nd floor!]

Go to 2nd floor where you will put your luggage away in the locker. Take with you a change of clothes +underwear for tomorrow. Also take whatever else you may need to prep for sleep (glasses/contacts/chapstick/deodorant/phone charging cables). Take it in your own separate bag to leave it in your capsule.

Go to your room and drop your stuff off. *Bring your own hair tie as the ones they provide are small and could barely hold my long hair. Slide the door down to close off your bed so that others know it is occupied.

Go to 8th floor.

Take your shoes off and you can add a clip to remember which is yours.

Next put your phone and keys in small lockers to your right as you are entering the first room. Pick a 4 digit code you can remember.

Grap a body scrubber and hair tie ( to put up if your entering the onsen). Enter the next room with a bookshelf of plastic baskets where you will get naked and place all your stuff in the basket. *bring with you only the small towel.

In the bathing room, you can pick a shampoo/conditioner that you prefer and take it to a shower station. sit down on a plastic chair and wash yourself well, especially if entering the onsen. Make sure you tie your hair so it doesnt touch the water. Also, rinse off your area for the next person.

After you finish bathing, dry yourself off with the small towel. Return to the room with the baskets where you will dry yourself off further and change. Theres also some body lotion in the room if you need before putting your clothes on.

[Pro Tip: use the stairs to go up to the 9th floor.]

The 9th floor has snacks and you can relax here.

*Knowing what i know now, I would bring a lanyard for the keys and maybe my own clip to use for my basket or to put on my slippers. ( I did accidentally put on someone else's lounge wear for two seconds as I was so tired and sore from the week and wasn't paying attention. I was really embarrassed but no one...

I stayed one night at this hotel, and to be honest, it was much more than I expected—it was almost moving in the way it cared for every detail! I had booked it through Booking.com for about ¥6000, thinking it would just be a simple capsule stay. But from the moment I arrived, I realized this hotel was something truly special!!!

The fact that it is women-only made me feel safe and at ease right away. Traveling alone in Tokyo, I was a little nervous, but the calm atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the clean, cozy capsules gave me peace of mind. Inside the capsule, everything was well thought out—power outlets, USB ports, lighting, and even a little mirror. It felt private and comfortable, almost like my own little retreat.

What touched me the most were the incredible free services. The lounge felt like a hidden treasure: in the morning, I could enjoy curry, rice, miso soup, and ochazuke, and in the evening, there was popcorn, pancakes, and even late-night ramen. Drinks were always available—coffee, tea, juices, and even alcohol at night. I couldn’t believe how generous it all was! Sitting in the lounge, eating, drinking, and relaxing after a long day in Tokyo felt almost magical, like the hotel was taking care of me in every possible way.

The bath and sauna area also left me impressed. Not only was it relaxing, but the variety of shampoos, conditioners, skincare, and even hair oil and body lotion was something I’ve never experienced in other hotels. It felt like they truly thought about what women travelers need, and gave us more than enough. Just being able to choose from different products made me feel cared for. I realized I could have come here with nothing but a change of clothes and still been completely fine!!!

I also loved the little details: paper cups with the toothbrush, the selection of condiments at the food corner, and even massage chairs near the lounge (though they were always occupied). It was clear that every small touch was designed to make guests feel comfortable, and that made me smile more than once.

Of course, there were small inconveniences—the elevator was slow, and carrying luggage in the summer heat wasn’t easy. Sometimes you could hear other guests at night. But these things felt so minor compared to the overall experience.

In the end, this hotel gave me something I didn’t expect: not just a place to sleep, but a feeling of being welcomed, safe, and looked after. It made me realize the true meaning of Japanese hospitality, which was warm, thoughtful, and far beyond what I imagined!!! As a young woman traveling alone, I couldn’t have asked for more. I left with a sense of gratitude and amazement. Next time I come to Tokyo, I won’t even think twice—I’ll definitely stay...

This was a first trying this style of solotraveler's accomodation after reading so many other reviewer's comments to stories (mostly in English) on how they had faired in their experiences, both good and bad. My debate was on which one. And happily decided on Anshin Oyado Shinbashi Shiodome. Which I couldn't be more pleased given the great standards and modernity that the hotel offers in its many amenities.

First off even upon arrival there was the Luggage Storage areas for oversized baggage. Surprisingly very very accomadable fir both my softcase exp 28-spinner and rolling backpack. To my discovery they allow two decent sized lockers (at this level) for personal possessions, 1) a taller full length locker with hangers, and 2) a fuller larger locker for all other needs like clothing et cetera. Both have assigned keys which gets you in and out of the designate sleeping quarter and floor entryway on each level. There are only five floors with the various sleeping modules (from 3-to-7). Floor 8 is the Spa 「ゆ」Yu ... Men only. And Floor 9, is the open cafe styled dining area with chairs and tables, free drinks and coffee or tea beverages etc.

The better part of the stay was the capsule itself. A fairly roomy interior that had a TV, clock, A/C, plus an outlet for the smartphone. Perfectly cleaned. Daily. Absolutely impeccable for such a smaller space in a larger room made up of two layers of capsule sleeping. The Spa itself is luxuriously nicely appointed. Free amenities. Lots of complimentary products and services. Open 24/7.

The comfort level here is exceptionally high.

What is most pleasant was its staffing. A diverse group of very lovely, bright college age students both male and female at the Front Reception areas. Some spoke English as good as my Japanese bettered my speaking between them. Each one 9f course very efficient. Detailed. And well-organized from a visitors' standpoint. Many of the clientele staying Over-the-Weekend were on fact business professionals, of varying age and occupational entities. Again, a very wide range in the numbers of individuals there for short-term lodging or, just overnight literally.

In any event [longer term stays] 7+ days or more at The Anshin Oyado Shinbashi Shiodome locale is fine. Absolutely. Highly recommendable. Perfect for all ages especially with a solo business traveler, college or university student, et cetera. There are great venues nearby with easy accessibility.

Nevertheless, it was really "very appreciable."

Tokyo is spectacular in a populace of well over 37 million. Outstanding. A must see...
