A nightmare experience. The rooms listed on the most popular travel websites do NOT match the actual rooms. The hotel, which recently changed its name, has several different types of rooms, all dated, smelly and with an '80s look, with an old television and a very slow internet connection.

When we checked in, despite having booked a Double Room, (paid almost double the average price for a hotel in the area) they gave us a SMALL Double Room, so small that two of us couldn't fit in at the same time. We know that in Tokyo rooms are small, ok. But this room was so small that the hotel elevator was larger. Even though we showed the receipt indicating a different room type, with a different photo and size, they refused to change us, demanding an absolutely unnecessary paid supplement, showing total disregard for the customer. Only after threatening to call the police and numerous calls to the very popular online site where we had booked, did we manage to get the room we were entitled to, but after losing almost a day and a half of our vacation and mental sanity. The result? The new room, equally ugly and small, at least had enough living space for two adult human beings. All this with absolutely unspecialized staff, who DO NOT know English and express themselves only through Google Translate. I'm also attaching a photo of the beautiful view from the room (the most expensive one) so you can enjoy too.

Amenities: The coin-operated laundry doesn't wash anything (and you have to buy soap separately), the internet doesn't work or works poorly, and breakfast consists of a paper bag with bread inside that you can ask for...

Stayed for a few nights here. Checking-in was a breeze, and the front desk spoke more than enough English to get me in plus the few other questions I had. Room was clean, and the laundry room was fine.

The location is great as it is a fairly quiet area, but walking five minutes north puts you suddenly in a busy district and walking around peoples watching was nice. Lots of food options within a 15 minute walk. The trains and buses are numerous so it was easy to just go to my next destination.

I felt like the rooms ran kinda hot (or maybe I didn't fully utilize my AC) as I would wake up slightly sweaty but it did not mess with my sleep. The WiFi offered is kinda iffy so don't expect much out of it.

The biggest gripe i noticed is if you have multiple large cases (the kind you'd always have to check-in at airports) I would be hesitant of this spot as my room barely had space to accommodate a rolling bag and backpack (plus a gym bag). If you are on your own or first starting your trip, then you should be fine, but even I started to feel the strain by the end. Not sure if there are larger rooms, but you should be aware of that before booking.

Great spot overall, I would definitely book here again next...

I stayed at Hotel Wing International Shimbashi-Onarimon earlier this year during my first trip to Japan, and I was beyond satisfied. The staff members were all extremely kind and helpful. They were able to communicate well in English, so I had no problem asking about any questions or concerns I had! Their hospitality was really outstanding.

There were a variety of complimentary drinks available throughout the day and free bread for breakfast! There are plenty of complimentary amenities as well, ranging from shampoo, face wash, hair ties, combs, razors, etc.

I also happened to stay here on White Day, and there was a bowl of sweets at the front desk for all the guests (โ€˜: I found that really nice.

The room was exactly as described when booking, and very clean and tidy. The area surrounding then hotel was quiet and very safe. There are also plenty of convenience stores and local restaurants nearby! I was able to make quick, late-night runs to a nearby 7/11 whenever I wanted a snack. Also always had a nice view of the Tokyo Tower whenever we walked back to the hotel from the station which was a nice bonus ๐Ÿ˜Œ

I definitely want to stay here again next time I...

Pet-friendly Hotels in Tokyo

Amenities: The coin-operated laundry doesn't wash anything (and you have to buy soap separately), the internet doesn't work or works poorly, and breakfast consists of a paper bag with bread inside that you can ask for at reception.

Also always had a nice view of the Tokyo Tower whenever we walked back to the hotel from the station which was a nice bonus ๐Ÿ˜Œ I definitely want to stay here again next time I visit Japan !
