Komugi Lab Pizza and Pasta — Restaurant in Tokyo

Not recommended. The usual restaurant apetizer in Japan is unknown and part of every restaurant signature dish. It changes often however today it was not special or particularly good. It was a minestrone soup in a cappuccino cup. 2 out of 4 cups were different sizes, so it immediately demonstrated lack of attention to details as a signature dish. Additionally being a dish that is brought to you without ordering, I would expect the service to ask if any of us have any allergies. Yes, 2 out of 4 have allergies... 1 of us in the preservatives contained in salami. Guess what, the minestrone contained bacon so at risk. Naturally I was the only one testing everything and tasted bacon, so no harm from it. The pizza we ordered arrived in different times, one by one, at an interval of 5/10 minutes each (last pizza arrived 25 min from mine). They didnt advised they were coming at different times, so I basically started my pizza after the first 5 minutes. Independently from when I started eating, the pizza was fluppy and looked like chowing the pizza rather than eating. Yes that is right the pizza was not crunchy at all, actually the opposite way around. I tasted my kids pizza very thin and fluppy too. 汐留のイタリア街にある「コムギラボ ピッツァ&手打ちパスタ」へランチで訪れました。この日はハンバーグランチを注文しました。

ハンバーグはジューシーでしっかりとした肉の旨味が感じられ、とても美味しかったです。付け合わせの野菜も新鮮で、全体的なバランスが素晴らしかったです。1,100円(税込)とリーズナブルで、ライス、サラダ付きというのも嬉しいポイントです。特にサラダはボリュームがあり、ドレッシングもとても美味しかったです。さらに、帰りにはコーヒーが無料でいただけるのもありがたいサービスでした。

店内はおしゃれでカジュアルな雰囲気で、ランチタイムでも落ち着いて食事を楽しむことができました。カウンター席からは調理風景も見えて、食事の時間がより特別なものになりました。

スタッフの方々の対応も丁寧で、料理の提供スピードも早かったのが印象的です。汐留のイタリア街にあるので、汐留駅はもちろん新橋烏森口からも徒歩圏内で、少し歩けば浜松町や大門からも行けない距離ではないという立地の良さも魅力的でした。

他のメニューも気になるので、次回は評判の良いピッツァや手打ちパスタにも挑戦してみたいと思います。小麦粉へのこだわりが特徴のお店だと聞いていたので、それらの料理も期待できそうです。

【Review of Komugi Lab Pizza & Handmade Pasta】

I visited "Komugi Lab Pizza & Handmade Pasta" located in the Italian district of Shiodome for lunch. I ordered the hamburger steak lunch set.

The hamburger steak was juicy with a rich meaty flavor that was absolutely delicious. The side vegetables were fresh, and the overall balance of the dish was excellent. Priced at 1,100 yen (tax included), it was quite reasonable, and I appreciated that it came with rice and salad. The salad was particularly generous in portion, and the dressing was very tasty. Additionally, the free coffee offered at the end of the meal was a welcome service.

The restaurant has a stylish yet casual atmosphere, allowing for a relaxed dining experience even during lunch hours. From the counter seats, you can watch the chefs at work, which made the dining experience even more special.

The staff were attentive, and the food was served promptly, which left a good impression. Being located in the Italian district of Shiodome, it's within walking distance from Shiodome Station, as well as from the Karasumori Exit of Shinbashi Station, and not unreachable from Hamamatsucho or Daimon stations with a bit of walking - this excellent accessibility was also appealing.

I'm curious about the other menu items, so next time I'd like to try their well-regarded pizzas and handmade pasta. I've heard that the restaurant prides itself on its particular attention to flour quality, so I have high expectations for these dishes.

We tried 7 Italian restaurants in the area, they were all booked solid. Went to Komugi Lab twice, both times full. The third time we were in and sat in the last two seats, right in front of the chef's work stations. This was one of the best experiences in Japan. Watching these guys work in a small space is impressive. They have a system that works perfectly. We ordered lamb, pasta, salad, and bruschetta with a few drinks to add to the evening.
