Although it was a little tucked away, we were accosted by a wooden sign with the promise of authentic thai food. Upon entering, it was clear that we would get that authentic experience. The decor is cosy, making even the outdoor tables seem more accessible on a cold day. The menu is not overwhelmingly large and offers some classic choices. Our order was taken swiftly. I should have gone for the green curry as it was deep with the flavour and heat you hope for, amplified by the crunch of bamboo and soft chicken enveloped in creamy sauce. On another table a set of regulars was seated joyfully by the owner - you can feel that this store wants their customers to really enjoy their food. Much recommended.

Food was good but the restaurant doesn’t hit the cleanness level of an ordinary restaurant. It is located close to Akihabara station. There are outside tables so you can enjoy food outside of the restaurant. Owners seem to be Thai people.

JR秋葉原駅からほど近い神田佐久間町の妖しい一角に佇むこちらのお店。入口がビニールで覆われているのは、コロナとは関係なく、現地風の雰囲気を出すための模様。世界遺産を冠した屋号に負けることなく、タイの雰囲気満点ですね。接客は現地のお姉さん２名。塩対応との情報が多いようでしたが、“コップン・カー”と元気よく挨拶して頂き、自分には決して悪くない感じでした( ＾ω＾ )。ランチメニューはタイ料理が８種類。大体ガパオライスがあると、そればっかり選んでしまうので、今回は『パッタイ〔タイ風焼きそば〕（\750）』をチョイス。サービスドリンクにはアイスコーヒーをお願いしました。先にそのアイスコーヒーとミネストローネのような野菜が入ったタイ風スープが登場。アイスコーヒーには予めミルクとシロップが入っていますので、飲めない方も多いのではないのかな。自分は全部残しちゃいました(--;)。でも薄目の塩味のスープはなかなかイケてるじゃないの。美味しくてこちらは具材ともども飲み干しました。メインは米麺が山盛りでボリューミー。野菜や海老がそこそこ入っておりますが、クセのある香草は除かれており、タイ風とはいえかなりマイルドな口当たり。砕いたカシューナッツが良いアクセントになっておりました。たぶん、スープも麺も日本人好みに少々アレンジされていて、タイ料理を初めて口にする方でも抵抗無く頂けるレベルになっているのだと思います。周りの皆さんが食べていたトムヤンクンラーメンや海老チャーハンとかどれも美味しいそうでしたね。お値段も安めですし、これは再訪かな。
