This was a stand out meal in Tokyo. It’s an aged-beef Waygu restaurant near our hotel. It intrigued us every time we passed it, so we decided to give it a try. The staff is very friendly and used a translator to help us understand the concept, which is that you pick a cut of meat and the number of grams you want.
I always love a NY. It balances flavor and texture. My brother wanted a less fatty meat and selected what they called a thigh cut. I’m not sure what this cut would be called in the US. They tell you the cooking process for the meant takes 30 minutes. I wanted a vegetable and ordered the creamed spinach.
They started us off with an amuse Bouche. It was a lovely creamy cauliflower soup. So rich and delicious!
We ordered pate for our appetizer. It was also creamy and delicious! And unlike the US, the portion was so perfect for an appetizer, and not to fill you up so you can’t eat your entree.
The meat arrived on a shared plate perfectly medium rare. It was salted and we were given extra salt to add more. The salt really, really brings out the flavor. I loved the NY. My brother’s selection had a fantastic flavor, it was just a tougher cut because it was so lean. Both were just fantastic!!
The creamed spinach was so perfect I ate the entire side myself.
Overall a perfectly yummy dinner. The service was excellent and the atmosphere is very cool. I highly recommend...
Read moreThis place is an absolute must if you want fresh Japanese Black Wagyu. We ended up ordering 2 appetizers, the Risotto and the Avocado/Mozzarella Sticks. Risotto was fairly cheap and on point. Tasted amazing. I'm not a fan of Avocado but my wife is and she gives the Sticks 2 thumbs up. I also ended up ordering the Thick Sliced Bacon. This was absolutely perfect! Best decision on my ordering. Pictures do not do this justice.
Now for the main course. We ended up sharing 2 different Japanese Black Wagyus. The Sirlion and Rib Roast. This was worth every penny. Now, we did get a lot of food but we wanted to try all the food. If you are hungry, and have a over an hour to spare, this is a good place to eat. Staff was friendly and the service was outstanding. Would...
Read moreIt's a cozy restaurant, great for a date night. The steak was tender and delicious. Everything comes pre sliced. The meat is brought out before coming to show it's quality. Menus are all in Japanese with little English so be prepared. Staff primarily speaks Japanese only. They are polite and will try to work with you but it's best to have an idea what you want going in. Be prepared to spend around $100 for a pair of you plan on steak, appetizer, and drinks. The atmosphere is nice after the hustle of akihibara. Definitely a more relaxed feel compared...
