Absolutely delicious!! My friend took me here and while it was a bit of a walk away from Akihabara Station it was completely worth it! We got the ¥6000 course and it was so much delicious meat! The first round was a variety of 6 cuts of beef that did not disappoint! They all pretty much melted in my mouth and only needed the salt as seasoning.
As we were debating if we got enough food, we decided to add in some soy sauce marinated cream cheese and beef yukke. The cream cheese was strangely good. It was very salty but creamy. We weren't sure if it was meant to be eaten with the beef but just the nori and cream cheese made a very interesting appetizer. We also ended up with some salad, kimchi, and mixed namul. The cost wasn't bad at all and we each had a drink included in the course. Worth the cost of the course!
We weren't expecting the last two dishes to include a generous helping of meat (galbi and harami) but it definitely put many of us to the brim! I would recommend a reservation since it didn't seem super busy when we arrived however it quickly filled up afterwards. Hoping to take more people here...
Read moreMe and my group of 5 stopped by on a whim after a long day. We only knew we wanted yakiniku and nothing else was planned. After walking for a minute from the station, we noticed their sign and took a look upstairs. At first it seemed full, but after clarifying to the server that we were 5 people, they managed to seat us without problem. While the staff seemed inexperienced with English, they did their best trying to serve us. It probably helped that two of the group know kindergarten level japanese, but the staff did their best. Three of the group went for the ¥6500 menu and was pleasantly surprised by both the amount and the taste/quality of the meat. Me and the fifth of the group ordered the ¥10000 menu and we were both very happy with the selection. For the price you get a lot of value, especially looking at variety and taste.
I do wanna give a light warning to foreigners that it can be a challenge to get an overview of the menu, as its written purely in Japanese, but Google Lens picked up on 70-80% of the stylized text and managed to translate the core...
Read moreWe wanted to eat dinner somewhere that wasn’t a chain restaurant and overrated since there arent that many good places to eat in this town.
This is a good hidden local spot to experience a Japanese restaurant that’s not a tourist trap. They offer nomihoudai.
Many reviews complain that the Japanese staff here are rude but they just don’t know how to serve foreigners and they struggle speaking English. There are no English menu. So be prepared to speak some Japanese.
For those that want quantity, a tabehoudai where they serve junk cheap meat and order from a tablet is better. You can go to a chain restaurant for that.
For those that want a little better quality and quantity, go for the course here.
For those that want good quality meat, go for Ala carte and the most expensive dishes for kalbi, gyu tan, harami at this shop.
We Ala carte for two and spent a little over 10,000yen. This place is not cheap nor expensive.
Kimchi and sweet potato were great. Cold noodles could be improved. Oolong drink had too much ice so it was just a small cup. Ask...
