I had a bad experience here. Strongly not recommend. I stayed here twice according to my plans. The 1st time, I got the room which had no view due to a blocking building, even though I was on a high floor. The 2nd time, I returned to Tokyo at night and checked in at my 'non-smoking room' as my intentional booking. However, the room was so smelly from cigarette smoke when I laid on the bed. I decided to inform the staffs and requested to change rooms. The staffs denied my request and said all rooms were full that night and without even offering any assistance or using the refresher spray to figure out as a simple protocol they should have. (the conversation was cut off by saying they are not strong in English) After attempting to stay in the room multiple times, I was back to them again but they offered me to find another hotel at 2 AM. This was a poor and unacceptable solution. I wished I could get some help offers such as coming room to check and do simply cleaning, refresh the air but no until I asked. Actually in my experience, if a hotel cannot provide a satisfactory solution to a customer's problem, particularly from own hotel's mistake, they should compensate the client by offering a refund and providing a room free of charge. However, I understand that I cannot expect much from these poor service hotel, so I decided to leave the hotel in the morning and never consider returning here again. Leaving this comment is the best way for me to express my...

The hotel is conveniently located close to Ueno park and public transport . The reception is up on the 1st floor and check in is strictly after 3pm, so be prepared to leave your bags and go for a tour if you arrive earlier.||The hotel itself looks a bit dated, although was clean and tidy. Check in was a bit disorganised and although we had booked ‘superior’ rooms for our family of 4 in 2 rooms, what they didn’t say was that they apparently only have one ‘superior’ per floor, so we were put on two different floors. Suffice to say we asked for any rooms on the same floor so ended up downgrading one to ensure we were on the same level. The rooms are very basic with low end furnishings and fixtures. There was aircon, direct dial phone, hairdryer, fridge with freezer compartment, desk, slow Wi-Fi, pyjamas and various toiletry accessories. The one positive was the quality and volume of shampoo, shower gel and conditioner, which was excellent.||The bed and bedding was also on the basic side, although clean.||Western Breakfast was also quite limited, although had reasonable provision for a Japanese one.||Pros||Good toiletries|Near transport links||Cons||Basic rooms and fittings|Inflexible check in times|Limited breakfast options||Conclusion ||Would satisfy the budget traveller although comparable hotels at that price point would provide...

Upon check in the lady at reception tried to understand me when I asked for my luggage which had been delivered to the hotel from where we were previously staying but she didn't understand me so I had to go back and ask again later then got it. My Aircon wasn't working but the receptionist was able to fix it. Unfortunately they mixed my room and my two friends rooms up and we didn't realize until I had two single beds and my mates had one double bed - when they realised this they asked for an additional duvet to sleep with as they are not a couple so wanted their own sheets, but the reception refused. So I gave them the additional duvet out if my room. (Also no we didn't switch rooms because we had both used the rooms and towels and got all our stuff unpacked etc so too much of a hassle to change at this point) also left too early to get the breakfast the next morning which was annoying as I had already paid for it but didn't get it. The room itself was basic, there were marks on the walls as well as on the bed itself at the side. Not the best hotel to stay in if you want something nice. Basic English is understood but if you have a problem - good luck. Bathroom was nice but the toilet seat cosure wasnt a soft close.

This hotel is a scam and the worst hotel i’ve ever paid for. 1. Suddenly at 11.15 they called me and told that I have to checkout now. Literally now, Without any first reminder before. Or they threaten me to call the police near the hotel, or paid for 2000yen as the compensation. After i going to the front office, they told me that this time is oke to not paid, but next time i have to paid. Like really? Are you guys testing or something? Or just threating tourist like this way? Get f off. There are no next time. 2. Im using their laundry machine and it was scam also In washing mashine write that they give a soap, but the fact is no soap smell on my laundry. Just wet. And the drying machine, was sooo bad. Im drying some clothes for 60min and still not dry at all. EVEN STILL WET. The machine need to throw up. The washing machine cost 400Y and drying machine cost 600Y and the result still wet.. lmao 3. The room, is smell bad. Like a dirty socks and it’s soo disgusting. 4. The elevator is soooo slow. Kind of old one. Very disappointed and blacklist this hotel.
