Sauna Center — Local services in Tokyo

For the other Euro/overseas tourists like me.

Other than getting overcharged for a 8 hour course (~3 Euro difference, insignificant), the place is excellent.

It is MEN ONLY unfortunately if that matters. The staff do not speak other languages but will try to help you with a translation app, prepare accordingly.

You must take off your shoes before entry. It is a reasonable price (around 13 Euros), there is a hot & cold bath as well as the sauna on the 6F. You are given an indoor bathrobe, towels, and a 1F locker key, leave your shoe key there and a change of clothes there. On the 6F, there is another locker for smaller items like your moisturizer or phone with keys too. Tie both locker keys to your arm.

You must disrobe before entering the baths, wash yourself fully, and splash hot water on yourself as a courtesy before entering any of the baths. Same for entering the sauna.

Stay as long as you'd like for your time limit. After you are done, there is a room temp resting room by the lockers and a "penguin room" with ceiling fans if you would like to air dry and...

I enjoyed this sauna experience. As a finnish person it is great to be able to enjoy sauna when traveling. I was here early in the morning and it was not packed. It was nice to eat a breakfast with coffee after having sauna and bath.

I just hope you could throw löyly in sauna by yourself! But I suppose when you are in Rome, you do like the...

ところどころに昭和の懐かしさが残る優良サウナ。一部ではレジェンドと呼ばれているとか。

浴室は6階にある。ひげ剃りやあかすりタオルはもちろん常備されているので手ぶらでもOK。浴室内は意外と小さく、洗い場は8人分のみ。唯一の温かい浴槽であるジェットバスは42℃とちょうどよい。

そしてストーンサウナだが、ありがちなヒリヒリ感や息苦しさを全く感じなかった。90℃前後と確かに熱いのだが、非常に気持ちよく汗をかけた。ロウリュは2回受けたが、少しユルい雰囲気。上段は私には熱すぎ、下段は少し物足りなかったので初めての人は中段がいいかもしれない。 水風呂もよくできている。温度自体は16℃と普通なのだが、カルキ臭が全くなく水加減まろやか。このほか、7℃くらいのクールルームもある。

休憩スペースは大きく分けて3種類。雑魚寝、リクライニングシート、そして二段ベッド。2階にある仮眠室の二段ベッドはマットレスが敷かれており、毛布もあるのでよく眠れる。いびきぐらいしか聞こえず静かだった。公式サイトでは4階が喫煙可能な休憩室とのことだったが、現在は臨時の喫煙室が設けられており、席で吸うことは出来なくなったようだ。4階の休憩室は少しヤニ臭いので、嫌な人は3階か2階を使うとよい。

レストランは5階にある。時間の都合で利用しなかったが、どうやらハムエッグが名物のようである。

客層は中年以上の常連客が多い。日曜の午後に行ったが、それほど人口密度は高くなく快適だった。サウニストが集まっており、皆マナーがよかった。

建物は築40年と古いがきれいに掃除されているし、スタッフの感じもよい。総じてとても良い施設であった。 案内が少なかったり、外気浴がなかったりといくつか改善点はあったが、居心地の良いサウナだ...
