Read moreCame here for lunch and I didn't regret it. This restaurant has a wonderful selection of dishes, mainly a lot of dumplings. I was very happy with every part of my meal, extremely affordable. I believe at lunch time they have specials which I would highly recommend visiting at such hours if you are on a tight budget. I took 2 different types of pork dumplings. One was a set meal with mapu tofu, rice, dumplings, egg drop soup (which I really enjoyed even though I am not a huge fan of this soup) and a small plate of pickled veggies. Oh and a desert which I don't know what they call it, was like a vanilla jelly consistency pudding. Was a nice little desert to finish the meal. Would happily come back and I definitely recommend, especially if you are craving for a lot...

The lunch set meal menu is good value, but even during lunch time, the grand menu can be brought to you if you ask for it. The lunch menu consists mainly of gyoza (Chinese dumplings), but the grand menu is diverse. There are also a variety of authentic dishes from Northeastern China and Sichuan Province (dishes that have become popular in Japan in recent years as "Gachi-Chinese").
I ordered the Hishio Daikon (braised pork backbone in soy sauce, 1,280 yen) from the grand menu and the Sui-gyoza Set Oomori (set meal of 12 pieces of sui-gyoza, 950 yen) from the lunch menu.
The Soy Sauce Big Bone looks bold, but it has a pleasant aroma of octagon and other spices, and a surprisingly gentle flavor that is not overly salty. It is difficult to eat it with chopsticks or a fork, as the meat is scraped off the bones. It is difficult to eat with chopsticks or forks. You need to eat it with your hands, for which they give you disposable gloves. The dumplings in the dumpling set are also very tasty. The skin is thick and firm, and the filling is a meat-centered, low-moisture type without cabbage or Chinese cabbage, which is chewy and tastes like meat. The inclusion of shrimp is also a nice touch.
The price is very reasonable for the taste.Highly...
