Exsaison Sugamo — Hotel in Tokyo

The only positive thing is that the apartment is close to the station. The negative: the check-in process was different from what the owner described. It's necessary to make photos of passport etc. on a slow android device and the whole thing took us forever to finally get the room password. The apartment is tiny, hardly enough space to store the baggage. The bathroom height is way too low, I could not stand straight and taking a shower is almost impossible. To see my face in the mirror I had to kneel on the floor. People in front of the building were smoking all the time and the cigarette smell came into the room. The water quality was awful. When I filled my bottle with the tab water there were many small black stones or something in the water. So don't drink that water, even if you cook it. The hot water was burning hot and it was hardly possible to get a comfortable temperature by mixing it with cold water. We had some colder days during our stay but the aircon wasn't strong enough to heat the small room. Worst of all: Wifi was not working on my phone, I just saw the wifi of the other rooms but not for our room. I contacted the owner 10 or more times but I never got an answer. No help at all. Also: we stayed 6 days but the towels where never changed, the room was never cleaned and the garbage was never removed. Very nice place to stay and of course with affordable price. They have tidy, clean, room and bathroom. Even it's not too spacy and you have to re-arrange the furniture if you stay there with max comfort of 3 persons. I stayed in 308 room that provide a mini kitchen. It was very useful for backpacker like me. They provides many useful utensils: spoon, fork, knife, Scissor, plate, bowl, dishwasher soap, sponge, bath soap, shampoo, conditioner, iron and ironing spray, water heater, mini fridge. Amaing place! The responsiveness of the host really made our stay easier and helped us find the property and check in with little to no problems! The location is fantastic - its exactly 3 minutes from the Sugamo station of the Yamanote metro line, which connects to most famous Tokyo sights. The room was very neat and clean and had nice views of the cute neighbourhood.
