A hearty and cozy Crepe establishment in a lovely area of Shinjuku near the Shinjuku SanChome station.

This cafe offers an easy dining experience in that their menu simply offers their specialities, whether by thenselves or in combinations.

And their specialty? Crepes! And they taste delicious! Note that at the time of this writing, they've perfected two crepe types - Simple Sugar and Lemon Sugar. Tried both - delicious and happy!

However, people like choices, hence, got it on the staff's authority that they are working on new expansions (cinnamon & vanilla ice to start with potential for more!), but the basics satisfied already with their delivery.

Sometimes, it's about doing one thing well with quality that makes the first impression. Pair it with a coffee for a lovely little breakfast if ya need a break as you traverse this area of Shinjuku.

A few nights ago we met (the owner) Kohei in a restaurant and quickly started talking. At Kohei’s kind invitation, we visited his crepe shop today in Harajuku, Tokyo, to try This is Crepes.

I’ve eaten many crepes in France over the years, but Kohei’s crepes truly amazed me — without a doubt, these were the best crepes I have ever had. The texture was unbelievably soft, the flavor rich and delicious, and the whole experience felt authentic and unique.

Sitting here enjoying a sugar butter crêpe, and I just had to say—it’s absolutely amazing. The texture is perfect: crispy edges with a warm, soft center, and the combination of sugar and butter melts together in the best way. It’s simple, but done so well that it feels special.

The service here has also been incredible. Everyone is so kind and welcoming, and it really adds to the whole experience. You can feel the care they put into everything, from how they prepare the food to how they treat the customers.
