Muromachi Sunaba is a long time soba specialist located in Akasaka. It was filled completely with locals and had a menu of several different types of both cold dipping and hot broth soba noodles.

Not knowing what best to order, I decided to opt for the seasonal winter soba of adductor clams on top of hot soba broth.

It was a tasty albeit smaller bowl and looking over reviews many opt for the tempura served with soba noodles instead.

Very traditional decoration, feel, and seating and I did enjoy finishing my soba broth with soba water.

Everything about our dinner here was amazing! There were some tables and a tatami seating section in the back, and we opted for the latter. The staff were all SO incredibly kind, and some spoke fluent English as well. The food was delicious, fresh, and filling. They were kind enough to give us a pot of broth to drink to finish off the meal, as well as fragrant green tea. We would highly, highly recommend Muromachi Sunaba...

We were looking for a good authentic restaurant and were presently surprised. Staff was extremely friendly and so were other customers. Being foreigners it's sometime a mixed bag. This place was so welcoming and friendly. The foods was amazing. The lady beside us said this is one of the best noodle places in Tokyo. This was the best Japanese restaurant experience we had on our trip. ...
