The location is pretty close to 2 different subway lines which were helpful in moving around Tokyo. There is a grocery store across the street which was super convenient, as they have a good selection of necessities along with ready-to-go meals. The hotel itself is clean and spacious, we used the spare room as a bedroom, it was just enough space for 4 people. The bidet/toilet was in a separate space from the shower which was very practical and helpful for our group. The washer and dryer was such a godsend, and it even had a function that from the push of a button, it did wash and end with dryer all on its own. We had some issue with check-in, as the only emails from them I received were all in Japanese and my phone did not have a translation capability. Thankfully, there was a person working the front desk who helped, but we noticed other travelers also struggling with check-in when there was no one at the front desk. We were also confused about how to handle trash, do we sort, how do we sort, and if we have full bags, where we should place them, etc... This information was not...
Read moreThe location was excellent, since it was near various subway route entrances. About 6 to 10 minutes walk to the subway entrance. Also love that it was adjacent to a value supermarket that had excellent selection of food. The room was also very comfortable and spacious. It had a microwave, a refrigerator, a relatively large sink, a washer and dryer, and a stove. It also had kitchenware and a good size dining table. It was very comfortable for a family of five to stay in this room. We were able to travel with a small baby, 1 year old, and were able to wash bottles and clothes as needed.
Only comment, is I wish they had instructions on how to check out and how to contact the front desk via the video phone on the tablet in the reception area. It was relatively easy to figure out, but may not be obvious to others. Contacting via the front desk video phone was super easy. Check out was also super easy since you just have to scan the QR code on the back of the door. It is not like the traditional hotel checkout methods, and this is way...
Read moreI recently stayed at Minn Nihonbashi, and I was thoroughly impressed! This hotel apartment utilizes a cloud check-in system, which made the process incredibly smooth—no reception staff needed. If you're comfortable with technology, this is a fantastic option, but I would recommend avoiding it if you prefer talking to hotel staff.
Access to the rooms is via a keypad, which I found convenient since there are no physical keys to worry about. The apartment itself was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, making it a perfect home base for my trip. I also loved that there’s a supermarket directly opposite the hotel, making it easy to grab snacks and essentials.
While they aren’t very flexible on early check-in, they do have storage lockers beside the unmanned reception desk, which is a great convenience. The only thing I felt was missing was a robot to deliver extra towels or pillows to the room!
Overall, Minn Nihonbashi offers a unique and innovative lodging experience that I highly recommend—just be ready for a...
