La'gent Hotel Tokyo Bay — Hotel in Urayasu

La'gent Tokyo Bay is in a prime location for Disney enthusiasts, offering an affordable stay with the added convenience of a shuttle bus to both Disneyland and DisneySea. The journey to the parks is reasonably quick, though the shuttle can get crowded – a minor trade-off for the convenience it offers.

One of the standout features is the Lawson convenience store located almost within the hotel grounds. It's incredibly popular with guests, especially in the evenings, as it’s perfect for grabbing dinner or stocking up on food and drinks to take into the parks. We took a rucksack with us to Disney, packed with food and drinks from Lawson, which we simply placed at the bottom of our bag with a raincoat or jumper on top.

While the shuttle makes the journey to Disney straightforward, be prepared for a wait when you arrive at the parks. Queues can take up to an hour to get through security and ticket checks, so factor that into your schedule.

Evenings back at the hotel follow a comfortable routine: guests returning from Disney often stop by the Lawson for dinner supplies, and La'gent has a spacious dining hall equipped with microwaves, where you can heat your food. The hotel also offers free hot drinks and soda from dispensers between 2 pm and late evening, which is a nice touch.

Breakfast is simple, with a selection of cold, pre-packaged items like bento boxes and sandwiches that guests collect from the lobby each morning. It’s basic and could be better, but it gets you...

Stayed here for 3 nights recently to base ourselves close to Disney. It was perfect for this purpose as the 2 days we went to Disney we stayed quite late so it was great to have only a short shuttle bus ride back to motel.||Upsides -|- kids play area - although nothing extravagant my kids played with the foam blocks building towers for ages, it was great|- baby facilities downstairs are excellent (change table, feeding room)|- lots of toiletries (including razors and even hair ties) which were replenished daily |- shuttle bus, very regular schedule and ran on time and efficiently |- price is excellent considering all the extras you get | |Downsides -|- very limited lunch/dinner options, no restaurant at the hotel which meant we ate at Disney more than we wanted to. Not a lot of restaurants nearby either. We went to Lawson’s and got bread and jam to make sandwiches for lunch but there was no cutlery in the room or kitchen area to use. Would have been great if the kitchen area had cutlery and a toaster to use.|- no normal black tea in the drinks area so if this is your thing you’ll need to buy it||** we did discover an amazing cafe with really good coffee close by on the day we were leaving, wish we’d found it sooner, as you come out of the hotel, turn left and go past the Mercedes Benz dealership.
