Yoshidori — Restaurant in Urayasu

My recent visit to Yoshidori was, unfortunately, far from satisfying. The food served at Yoshidori was quite average, lacking any special touch or flavor that could have made the dining experience memorable. However, what truly marred our experience was the exceptionally poor service we received.

We visited with two young children, and on that particularly cold and rainy day, we found ourselves in need of a taxi to return home. Despite our situation, the staff at Yoshidori showed a surprising lack of empathy and outright refused to assist us in calling a cab. This lack of basic customer service and care left us stranded and distressed, especially given the inclement weather and our responsibility for young children.

This experience was deeply disappointing, and it's disheartening to report that Yoshidori falls short not only in culinary delight but more significantly in customer care. For those considering a visit, especially families, I would recommend looking elsewhere. I absolutely love all types of Japanese food. I've been traveling to Japan for more than 30 years now, and my very favorite type of restaurant are the very small counter only restaurants where you can watch the chef preparing the food. I stayed in Urayasu again and only a couple of blocks from the Hyatt Regency is this wonderful small restaurant called Yoshidori! We were lucky to be seated in the center of the counter seating and were able to clearly watch the chefs at work. They were very quick and efficient and made wonderful yakitori! I believe the menu was only in Japanese, but my Japanese companion was able to help me, along with Google image translation! All of dinner was truly excellent and services fast and polite. Not great food and overall probably poorest meal selection for our week holiday. Went for dinner and seemed expensive when given the bill, I'm sure our order didn't add up to that much and we certainly didnt get that much in quantity of food.
