i noticed that staff interactions with non-african guests were much less warm and welcoming, which made me feel uncomfortable and not welcome.

The most unsettling experience was when a cleaning staff member knocked on my door around 3:00 pm on check-in day, claiming he needed to check something in my room. When i questioned him, his reasons kept changing—from needing to clean, to checking the air conditioning—despite the room having just been cleaned before my arrival. His behavior felt suspicious, strange and unsafe. Given that i had valuable items in my room, including swiss watches, apple devices, and collectible items, i felt uneasy. I considered checking out immediately, but the reception staff assured me the hotel was safe and advised me to use the “do not disturb” sign.

Outside the hotel, the situation was even worse. the moment i stepped out of the gate, i was aggressively approached by vendors and individuals who persistently followed me, grabbed my arm, and demanded money to leave me alone. In my case, i was followed for nearly 30 minutes, which also made me feel very unsafe. Even getting food deliveries was stressful because standing outside could attract unwanted attention.

The room itself lacked air conditioning, with only a fan available. while opening the window helped with cooling at night, it also meant dealing with mosquitoes. the mini-fridge did not get cold, even on maximum setting, meaning there were no cold drinks in the room. When i went to the bar downstairs, i was surprised to find that even their freezers were not properly cooling.

Overall, i had a disappointing stay due to both security concerns and comfort issues. I originally planned a longer trip but decided to leave early due to safety concerns from both inside and...

I brought my family to Hotel Boulevard for Easter lunch, drawn in by the advertised 7-course meal and mocktail at KES 3,000 per head. Unfortunately, what we received was far from what was promised. The buffet felt more like a children’s party menu , mini pizzas, vegetable slider burgers, and a single rice dish with one meat option that was so heavily spiced it was barely edible.

The food selection was extremely disappointing, and not remotely reflective of what had been marketed. The only thing I genuinely enjoyed was the mocktail, which surprisingly wasn’t watered down.

To make matters worse, I had pre-ordered from the à la carte menu well in advance due to health concerns within the family. Despite this, we were served undercooked chicken. This level of negligence is unacceptable, especially when dietary needs had been clearly communicated ahead of time.

Service was another major letdown. With only about five tables occupied in the entire restaurant, it was shocking how difficult it was to find a waiter. I had to walk around looking for someone just to address the issue with the uncooked food.

Hotel Boulevard, this experience was incredibly disappointing. Your team knew our needs, yet delivered subpar food and poor service. It’s frustrating to feel so let down, especially on a special occasion like Easter. Please stop misleading guests with false advertising and seriously re-evaluate your kitchen and...

I had a first-time experience that left me feeling disappointed. Despite its fancy appearance and decent buildings, my overall impression was marred by a few factors. While the dishes were somewhat satisfactory, I would rate them a mere 3 out of 8. However, the most significant issue was the unpleasant smell that permeated the entire place. It was so distracting that I couldn't fully enjoy my meal. I genuinely wondered how the hotel's residents and staff manage to endure it on a daily basis. Was it an issue with the sewerage system, or perhaps someone had caused a disturbance that affected the entire establishment? I sincerely hope that the hotel management takes this matter seriously and explores possible solutions to address the persistent smell issue. Regrettably, my experience at the hotel had a negative impact on my day.

Hotel Boulevard Nairobi has a charming, rustic feel that gives it a unique charcter. While the rooms are a bit dated and could use some modern touches, they are clean and functional, offering the essentials for a comfortable stay. One thing to note is that the hotel is located close to a busy road, so noise can be an issue, especially during peak hours. Breakfast was decent, though we feel there’s room to enhance the variety. Including more international options like pancakes, waffles, or a wider selection of pastries would elevate the experience for guests with different tastes. Overall, it’s a cozy place with great service — a few updates here and there would make it even better.

Unfortunately I did not take alot of pictures but that is because I was busy enjoying the ambience of the place. A nice place to hold birthday parties, graduation and any other event. For my food I had the beef pizza which was really sweet I love it, I also had the naan bread and butter chicken and cocktails. Btw I went they had an offer for the meal (pizza, naan bread and chicken butter) went for Ksh 1700 which serves two people. They also had an offer for the cocktails which cost ksh 1200 for two cocktails. I would definitely go back there. I loved the services and the ambience.
