Mabre Residence — Hotel in Vilnius

What we experienced here was absolutly disapointing and unbelivable! At 01.09.2022 we booked 2 double rooms over Booking.com for our travel to Vilnius from 20.05.23 to 26.05.23. We booked really early cause there is a music concert at 22.05.2023 (Rammstein) and we wanted to have our rooms early save booked. The prices while we booked were fair and we paid around 600 Euro for 1 week for 2 rooms in anvanced. Also flights were booked and everything was planned....perfect (we thought!) Six months later (13.03.2023) we were first informed by this hotel (via booking.com) , that they can not offer us room in the night from 20th to 21th may cause of nessessary repairs in the rooms. I wrote back, that we will keep the rooms 100% and they should please offer us a different hotel alternative for the first night. Just around 30min later, they canceled our both rooms without any chance to find a solution. Given case now was "Overbooking". After 7 month, they recogniced they are overbook?! We contacted booking and reported this but they said they can not do anything cause they are just intermediarys.

Well the true story is, the prices raised over 3xtimes cause the hotel rooms were really rare and super expensive after they recogniced that over 40-60.000 ppl tried to find rooms. A hotel with the same category in the same area (old town) was now 2000 Euro and up. Since we were not willing to pay 2000 Euro for another 3 Star Hotel, we had to choose a Airbnb room for a higher price and 30km away from Vilnius City / Old Town. When we were finally there, i went to this hotel to the counter desk and ask for some rooms. The man laughed and said that all their rooms are completly booked since month cause of a rock concert in the comming week. and he wished me luck with my search for room these days in Vilnius. I went off with a fake laugh and a fist in my pocket.... So what they did is, they canceled our early and cheap booked rooms to give it to someone else for a much high price. This way this hotel ruined our holidays...

ABSOLUTLY NOT RECOMMENDED! WE BOOKED 2 DOUBLE ROOMS IN SEPTEMBER 2022 FOR A RAMMSTEIN CONCERT. AT THIS POINT THEY HAD A LOT OF ROOMS FREE AND OFFERED IT IN BOOKING.COM. IN MAI 2023 (7 month later!) THEY CANCELED OUR ROOMS (2 DOUBLE ROOMS) WITH THE CASE "SORRY - OUR HOTEL IS OVERBOOKED". BUT THE REAL AND TRUE CASE WAS, THEY OFFERED THE ROOMS TO OTHER GUESTS CAUSE OF RARLY AVAILABLE ROOMS IN MAY 2023/VILNIUS. WE ORGINALLY PAID 599 EURO FOR ONE WEEK TOTAL FOR BOTH DOUBLE ROOMS IN SEPTEMBER 2022. IN MAI 2023 THEY OFFERED THE ROOMS FOR OVER AROUND 2000 EURO+ PER WEEK (EACH ROOM!).

FROM THE BUSINESS POINT OF VIEW ITS SURLY WISE BUT ITS REALLY REALLY UNFAIR TO THE GUESTS TO F*CK THEIR LONG PLANNED HOLIDAYS IN THE LAST MOMENT BEFOR THE TRAVEL BEGINS. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR US TO FIND ANOTHER PAYABLE HOTEL IN VILNIUS SO WE HAD TO CHOOSE SOMETHING 30KM OUTSIDE OF VILNIUS CITY. WE HAD TO USE BOLT/UBER TAXIS EVERY DAY AND WE HAD ALOT OF EXTRA COSTS CAUSE OF THIS OUTRAGEOUS HOTEL. WE HOPE YOU WILL GET BANKRUPT SOON! WE ARE VERY VERY DISAPOINTED AND I WILL POST THIS STORY WHEREVER I...

⚠️ Beware! You might be offered "free breakfast" at check-in, only to be charged €120 at checkout for a breakfast with a disappointingly limited selection.

The hotel’s facilities and location are ok for a 4-star hotel, but our Christmas vacation was completely ruined by different staff’s repeated mistakes and an outrageous breakfast charge.

Upon check-in, the hotel staff clearly told us that breakfast was included. For two days, we had breakfast without issue by simply providing our room number. At checkout, we were suddenly informed that we had to pay for breakfast—at a cost equivalent to 40% of our total room rate!

To make matters worse, the hotel admitted in writing that their staff misinformed us, yet they still refused to issue a refund. It raises serious concerns about dishonest, if not outright fraud.
