Saint Germain — Restaurant in Vilnius

Probably one of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

Service - fantastic. I have been here several times, and at all times the service was great. But one waitress took the service to another level. She was attentive, gave great recommendations and was friendly exactly when it was needed and it seemed really honest coming from her.

Food - delicious. At all times I have been here I have tried various fish dishes. At all times the fish was moist and seasoned perfectly. The sea bass dish with potato puree was incredible, the potato puree was just incredible, definitely recommend. I have tried a mushroom risotto as well, which was a little bit dry for a real risotto but was still incredibly creamy and filling. The tiramisu with a twist is a great recommendation for more adventurous people, as it is not a classic way to serve a tiramisu. I understood the idea and I think it is genius.

It was our first time and we expected more. Firstly, the waiters are unfriendly, not interested in work and customers in any way, no one has ever asked "how did we like the food, did we like it, do we want something else." Secondly, the food does not match the price and quality. I ordered duck fillet and they managed to overcook it, it tasted like rubber. Dishes itself are also not something interesting and unique. Thirdly, the general appearance of the restaurant leaves much to be desired, especially the toilet, which has long been waiting for the repair, especially the door handle.

Used to be a good place few years ago. We “had a dinner: after waiting more than 1 hour we haven’t gotten our mains (the restaurant wasn’t even full) and the best part was to get a bill with a mistake in it to pay even more than we were supposed to and overpriced child’s pasta that wasn’t written in menu but told by staff as available. €18 butter and cheese pasta lol. Even in Swiss where we come from, never paid such hilarious price for the most simple pasta. I’m not suprised it is not in menu because it is a scam.
