Trattoria di Ravello — Restaurant in Vilnius

I can honestly say that this is the most unpleasant and tasteless place in Vilnius, and I truly did not expect that. Until now, in all the restaurants I’ve visited here, the staff has always been friendly, and the food has been at least decent.

We ordered two pastas and two glasses of wine. Out of all that, we barely ate maybe 10% at most. I drank only one or two sips of wine. When we asked the waitress for a wine recommendation, she simply said it didn’t matter, whichever we wanted — red or white. That attitude already made me feel like this place was not going to be special.

The pastas arrived — I ordered one with meat, and my husband had a simple Bolognese. Believe me, the amount of tomato sauce was overwhelming. It felt like the pasta itself was undercooked, and to mask the taste of raw pasta, they drowned it in tomato sauce. The food was truly unpleasant, and I was very disappointed.

We left most of it untouched, barely drank any wine, and after the meal, we both ended up with really bad stomach aches. It’s such a pity, because it was supposed to be a special evening, and I was hoping to enjoy a...

Very disappointed. Tablecloth was dirty (we sat outside), we ordered pizza (mid 8€), which tasted fine, but was way overpriced. Service was kind of weird, staff wasnt unfriendly but there was somekind of unpleasant vibe - maybe because he didnt feel comfortable speaking english? We ordered non-alcoholic coctails, which were made with syrups, carbonated water and added sugar (in one coctail there was visible, that all of the sugar wasnt dissloved) - shouldnt strawberry margarita (even the non-alcoholic one) be made with real strawberries? When the waiter brought us our pizza, it wasnt cut in slices?! He asked if we liked a plate - as if we were gonna eat from one plate? I asked for another one, unfortunately both of them were dirty. Regularly i would have sent the plates back, but we were really hungry and waited long enough for our food, so we wiped them ourselves. We were very disappointed with the food and the service. The starters and panacotta were not bad, but the main courses were terrible- pasta was overcooked and tasteless, the only thing you could taste was the salt, the duck was bland and, on top of that, we got the worst cappuccino ever - overheated milk and almost no foam, so we refused to drink it. Unfortunately, the waiter didn’t solve the situation, he just got sad and offended about the complaints, which were told in a nice way. By the way, the waiter could not explain in English the ingredients and the way the food was made, I had to translate everything for my Italian friend.
