Eden Boutique Hotel — Hotel in Borneo

Out first room had a terrible cold smoke smell and despite our window being open or closed with air conditioning or without the smell persisted. The smell was coming from some other room by the toilet air tubes. We asked for a change of room and they moved us to a light and much spacious room with no smell but it was facing the main road and was too noisy. The towel hanger was broken and nobody came to fix it. There are cobwebs and dust in the staircase. The windows were greasy. The réception staff was friendly but the cleaning staff needs to work much harder. Wifi worked but wasn't very strong. There is no elevator. The price is OK for the value but should be slightly cheaper since some rooms are...

During my stay the water pipes above my room broke and I woke up at 1AM to a flood of water gushing from the ceiling light onto my bed and all over my belongings. I had to evacuate the room in emergency and risk getting electrocuted as water was gushing out of the walls and all over the floor. Many of my belongings were soaked and I lost a few things in the room during the incident.

Hotel promised a refund twice but 3 weeks later have not received anything. Bad...
