This is the first time we came here ever since the cafe moved to this new location. There are over 10 free parking slots next to the place that are reserved for their customers which is convenient.
The environment is simple but has a clean modern touch to it. The staff service was good and it did not take our food too long to arrive so we we did not have a problem with it.
The food variety is limited to mostly pasta and western food. We ordered the Mediterranean spiced chicken thigh and fungi obsession pasta which was delicious. The only problem I see is the food portion is small and some dishes like the burger do look overly simple with an under-sized portion. Their beverages (ice chocolate and latte) were average and purely made without adding anything else like condensed milk, sugar, etc so it won’t be to everyone’s liking. There are some cakes (red velvet, apple tart, etc) here for those sweet tooth lovers but the variety is limited.
In terms of the price, bear in mind there is a 5% SST and 10% service charge. The overall price is a little expensive unless if you go for the lunch set as opposed to the ala carte.
Overall, this place is suitable for gatherings but not for those looking to make reservations for a...
Read moreInteresting cafe & restaurant upscaled from an old industrial factory lot. The space is huge, all tables are well spaced, feels very comfortable with the ambience. Floor staffs are very friendly and service was prompt. Food wise, well its not bad but not great either. Portion is kinda small given its asking price. I'd expect their version of big breakfast (7/10) to at least have double sunny-side up. Its served in very small plate, almost like its a kid's meal. Also tried their pork bacon croissant (8/10) and double pork patty 'mcmuffin' (set+coffee) (8/10) which actually tastes alot like mekdi but much better. I don't really like the coffee (hot americano) (6/10)..which was served in a cup which again look more like its part of kid's meal. Dessert wise, perhaps its because its breakfast hour, only 2 pastries were available, none of which looked interesting so skipped that. I'll give this restaurant another shot for sure, to try out the other menu. This is my first visit, and it was a cloudy morning with slight drizzle. So we didn't feel hot. but from what i hear, it can get pretty warm indoor...
Read moreVery spacious, relaxing and chill place to be for a meal or even for a coffee. If you're lucky and they're roasting fresh beans, you'll be greeted with the aromatic fragrance of the coffee beans.
The waiters, waitresses and baristas are friendly and well dressed. Coffee is great for locally roasted coffee, and the food isn't too bad either. Definitely one of the better cafes in Penang.
Food tastes great and are well presented. Your mileage may vary, but the chicken burger is a hit or a miss. They use a chicken fillet (either breast or thigh, most likely the thigh) as your patty and it may have a tendency to get overcooked and dry.
I recommend having the Insanity Beef Burger with nachos. Juicy, tender, perfectly cooked, and coupled with fresh greens in the burger and crisp onion. Nachos are basically Doritos, but the sauce they provide on the side is kind of like their version of McDonald's Big Mac sauce.
Parking may be a bit of a hassle as it is limited to the entrance, unless you don't mind parking further out and walking...
